Was just about to post that it's got 0-0 written all over it, but then Lambo comes in. WE ARE GOING UP!

Lallana supports Everton, Bompey, Us and St. Albans.

It was windy at Brentford, every time a long ball went up it got blown off course. Made for a few funny moments! Incredibly nervous about this game but also very excited - this is a huge day for the club. 3-1 to Saints Lambert 17 Guly 41 Lallana 78

Good that he's dead, although I do fear for reprisals (especially with the Olympics coming up next year). Bad due to the involvement of the Pakistan military, it'll be interesting to see how that particular part of this story unfolds in the next few weeks.

So, now we know which teams are relegated from the Championship, we can start the inevitable "which players can we nick from them?" thread. I think we should be looking out for a goalkeeper, a full back (either RB or LB), a centre back, a central midfielder and maybe a striker. Scunny Josh Wright - CM (Nigel has said in an interview previously he rates him very highly) Michael Raynes - CB (Big strong centre back - Jaidi's successor? We were linked when he was at Stockport) David Mirfin - CB (Another big strong centre back, more experienced than Raynes but older) Sheff Utd Stephen Quinn - CM (Creative midfielder, can also play out wide on the left) Ched Evans - ST (Tall, fast striker. Welsh international and tipped for big things) Stephen Jordan - LB (Experienced, solid left-back who works very hard) Preston Sean St. Ledger - CB (Irish international, strong and reliable. Would be great alongside Fonte) Billy Jones - RB/CM (Crewe academy graduate, been solid in the Champ for a while now and still young) Paul Hayes - ST (Nigel had him at Scunny, if Barney ends up doing time then he'd be a very good replacement) None of those players would be particularly cheap, but any of them would improve our squad and have vital Championship experience that some of our players don't have.

Just donated - can't wait to see the flag at the Walsall game. -
Saw Chambo and Morgan after the game, both of them seemed absolutely fine. Chambo didn't have any kind of trace of cast, brace or boot on his foot and was walking fine (mainly walking away from the hordes of people asking him for autographs while poor Lee Holmes stood there a few yards away from him completely ignored!). Morgan has been training with the squad for the last couple of weeks, so I guess he'll get a 10 minute cameo against Plymouth and may even get 45 minutes against Walsall. FWIW I think Chambo will stay, if we beat Plymouth on Monday then he'll be playing Championship football next year - not bad for a 17/18 year old. Who knows, he could even be playing in the Prem for us the year after!

You've obviously not been at the top of the Kingsland North with all the nawty boys recently then

Good to meet you as well mate, thanks for the Diet Pepsi! -
I'm currently mid-way through a 24-month contract with Virgin Mobile (15 months in, to be precise), and i'm thinking about changing to a cheaper tariff. I'm currently paying £30 a month for 800 minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited data (up to 4GB I think). While this is a good deal, being a poor student £30 is a lot of money. On top of that, the handset which came with the contract is buggered, and I can't be ar$ed with going through the process of getting a replacement handset from Virgin, so I bought a cheap £15 handset which has actually been great. What I want to know is, would it be possible for me to change to a cheaper tariff at this point (without incurring any large fees or charges) or should I just stick it out until next Feb and get a cheaper one then with a new handset? I'd also be open to the option of switching to another network, although I think I would have to pay up my existing contract with Virgin in order to do that. Any help appreciated! Thanks

I am also in the Family section on Saturday. However, I was there for the P*mpey FA Cup game last season and there were more than a few curses echoing round so I wouldn't worry too much about being polite!

Also, what was with the dozens of Met officers lining the stand before the final whistle? One bloke jumps over the hoarding when we score our third and all of a sudden half of the f*cking front-line police officers in Britain are stood there waiting for us to surge forward like it's the battle scene in Braveheart or something! What a waste of money. -

Just back from the game - great win for us today. We looked very comfortable, although we were very direct at times today (but that was probably to match Brentford's gameplan). Special mentions for Lallana (took his goal very well), Hammond (worked extremely hard), Connolly (also worked very hard) and Fonte (incredibly composed). Chaplow also did well but his tackling was a bit reckless at times. Onwards and upwards Saints! -
I would love to see Beatts back here, but would he want to play second fiddle to Rickie? That's the question really.

Well, i've done my trip to the pub, and I still can't see a solid reason for keeping the monarchy posted on this thread. Yes - they make money for the country through tourism. But couldn't the money that we spend on them be used to set up a multitude of businesses which could easily make 10x the amount that the Royals currently bring in to the country? Why does the taxpayer have to spend tens of thousands on doing up Princess Beatrice/Eugenie's student digs, flying Prince Andrew halfway round the world to hang out with his affluent (allegedly) kiddy-fiddling friends, and providing year-round security for every member of the Royal Family when there are 'commoners' out there who can't afford to put food on the table? I just don't get it. Britain seems to be clinging onto the Royal Family purely for sentimental reasons - there is no logical explanation for keeping them. Not in my book anyway.

I think Moby D!ck is harder work tbh - great drumming but for 20 minutes!? Brilliant album though, the version of 'Since I've Been Loving You' on there is the best live performance i've ever heard of any song.

Republicans and Publicans aren't so different. In fact, they're only separated by 2 letters.

I've spent the day so far drinking Diet Coke, watching the coverage of the wedding with the rest of my family, and listening to Led Zeppelin's 'How The West Was Won' live album. I might even stick 'Physical Graffiti' on later before I go to the pub.
-
It's just a guessing game, which continent has Prince Phillip offended to the point where they've boycotted the wedding?

I love you Deppo.

There is certainly an undercurrent of discrimination in French footballing culture (and indeed in French culture itself). Wouldn't be surprised if this was true tbh.

+1 Probably the best option. And Turkish, i'm 19 FFS, what should I be doing?
