He'll get slated for not having the charisma to lead the party in the way that Cameron or even David Miliband does, but he's a very sensible politician with some very good policies up his sleeve. Set a good example in these next few months and we could see a big swing in support to Labour as the Tories cuts are announced.

There's a new exhibition on at the Tate Modern I believe, worth checking out. Camden Market as well (if it's back up and running after the fire...)?

Most people I know have normal timetables on a wednesday, but it can be re-arranged to enable you to go to various sports teams, societies etc. I've just come back from my halls football team training.

Chaplow or Schneiderlin vs 'Udders?
SuperMikey replied to Ivan Katalinic's 'tache's topic in The Saints
Morgan and Hammond. No question. Chaplow to come on later in the game (and get booked again). -
Played better than England did though...

And Crouch of course.

That is a sensible agreement - the NHS have it right on that one imo. Know a lot of student nurses, physiotherapists, speech therapists etc from my halls and they cite that as being one of the things that sold the course to them. Having skimmed through the report, I can see what the ConDems are trying to do. Universities are overcrowded, so raising the fees will cut down on places and therefore government spending on said universities. To me though, it seems that they're just trying to make more money from the people that can't really afford it. I don't know many people who could afford £10k a year for a course at a good university. Imo there are other ways of making money that would be more successful than this - try investing in business for one. You have to spend money to make money. Either way, this could potentially lose a lot of support for the Conservatives.

Whoosh?

I will protest anyway, regardless of which government proposed it. Just completely disagree with the idea.

Those people (or person) saying that AL is 100% Everton - I thought he was a boyhood Saints fan? Wouldn't surprise me if he was an Everton fan though, what with being from the South coast...

The food in my halls is pretty rank, so I tend to eat Subway whenever I go into town (for matches, shopping etc). It is expensive for a glorified sandwich, but I have a f*ckload of vouchers that I can use!

So, sure you've all heard about this by now. Lord Browne has recommended that the LibServatives raise tuition fees for universities to £7000, and also to allow top universities to charge what they want, which means that students wanting to go to top places like Oxford, Cambridge and even Southampton could end up paying well over £10k a year for their degree courses. I may be a bit biased on this particular one, being a student myself, but this is just typical of the tories imo. They're taking the fairness out of the education system and making university an elitist thing again. Some may argue that it's a good thing, but we're all entitled to a good education, and let's face it, you need a degree to get anywhere in the world these days. I'm already going to graduate from Uni in a few years time saddled with £24k (min) of student debt, so imagine how much people would end up paying if they had to pay £15k a year as well as living costs! Personally, I think it's a disgusting proposition that is just completely OTT. As I said, only the rich will be able to go to university if this goes through, and that's exactly how the tories want it. Same sh!t, different leader. PS: There's a protest scheduled for November 10th in Westminster against the rises, we need as many people as possible!

Do you hate Labour, dune? You've not said anything about it up until this point.

Adam loves this club, i'm sure top of his list is a new contract. Please Adam!

Not sure tbh, every player in the team has had good games and bad games. It's probably got to be Lallana for me though.

Does he live abroad? I didn't know that. Does he know any ex-Saints players perchance?

My HD2 has gone down the pan a bit now. Went into Virgin with it earlier because I wasn't getting any sound on my calls, and now had to do a factory reset. NOW it's not letting me sync up any of my data accounts. I may ask if I can switch phones, it's slow as fook now as well.

I'd heard you like to get a hot 12 incher down you, Hatch.

Great game today, this game and Bourney are the best i've seen Saints play in ages. Was a real team performance, sensible passing and incisive at the right moments. F*cking brilliant. Davis 6 - Had nothing to do whatsoever. Distribution was good. Butterfield 6 - Linked up well, didn't have that much else to do. Still slightly suspect defensively though... Harding 8 - Marauded forward and solid defensively. Really great performance, it's great to finally have a solid LB. Fonte 8 - Dominant in the air, passing was very good and sensible. Seems to be really enjoying this passing game, everything goes through him at the back. Seaborne 8 - Wasn't a fan when he joined, but these past couple of games have been very promising indeed. Very good in the air, and his passing was actually good today, which has been one of my hang-ups on him before. Chaplow 6 - Ran around a lot, i'm not sure he's the tough tackling midfielder everybody wants him to be, but he linked up well and passed intelligently. Got forward a couple of times dangerously too. Hammond 7 - Wasn't at the forefront of the game, but he rarely is. Marshalled well, won the ball and made some good passes. Just what we want from him. Puncheon 9 - Seems to be really in form at the moment, long may it continue! He is a fantastic player when he wants to be, and he seems to be really highly motivated at the moment which is probably down to Adkins. Lallana 9 - Another glittering performance. He's far above this level, could probably cut it in the Prem on current form. Provides the spark up front that is really dangerous. I LOVE YOU ADAM! Lambert 9 - That's more like it Rickie! Easily his best game this season, and one of his best peformances since the JPT final imo. I think he should look for the shot more often though, he has the ability to score from long range. Guly 9 (MOTM) - Wow. Didn't stop all afternoon, showed some fantastic touches, linked up fantastically with Rickie and highly deserved a goal. Shame to see him go off early with cramp, but he did work pretty f*cking hard! Subs Chamberlain 7 - Looked good, showed his pace and skill off. Still think he's slightly wasted on the flank though, he keeps trying to cut in to come centrally which is where he seems to be more comfortable. Barnard 8 - Only thing that was missing was the ball in the back of the net. Obviously had a point to prove, and he was certainly trying to prove it! Got the best chant of the afternoon too! (He'll see you outside...) Holmes - Didn't really do anything. Too late to make an impact.
-
You didn't come across as rude - don't worry Nick! He has been started on the wing a lot, I think he's slightly wasted out there. Would like to see him playing more centrally to see how it works out, although there was a poster on here saying that he's being played out wide to 'protect him'. Fair enough I suppose, League One is pretty rough!
-
He played a few times last season 'in the hole' I thought. He definitely played up front this season a few times. Didn't he score playing up front?
-
Agree about Connolly, all the injuries seem to have taken their toll. Doesn't look sharp anymore, and that was what made him dangerous. He no longer has the pace to beat defenders, hasn't got the strength to hold up the ball and is too short to win any headers. Decent option to have on the bench though, you can't doubt his experience. Excellent news about FR as well, hopefully we'll see him either today or against Huddersfield as Butterfield still doesn't convince me...
