Hammond scored once or twice from corners last season - and Surman a few times the season before that. We do lack somebody with good delivery though, that's something we need to address in the transfer window imo.

What is it with you guitarists, always wanting more stuff to play around with. If you really want to help the band, you can buy me a 100w bass amp

FA Cup 1st Round Draw-Sunday- Shrewsbury at home
SuperMikey replied to dannysfc's topic in The Saints
I'm 6'4 and I have problems sitting comfortably at St Mary's, but I am a bit of a porker as well -
Noticed he does have excellent potential which is good - you may get a lot of flak from people for your judgements on player's skills MLG, but I reckon you do a pretty good job tbf!

Would a ST holder kindly purchase me a ticket (preferably in Block 42) for Dag&Red and i'll compensate them with a watery concourse pint and the ticket price? PM me if you're interested! Muy apreciada!

D'Urso was pretty cr4p, as were his linesmen. Lots of free-kick decisions and offsides that were clear cut and not given, or not remotely illegal and given. It was a stonewall penalty too - I was sitting in the Itchen/Chapel corner and his shirt was tugged and his right leg was taken out. Couldn't believe it wasn't given! He's never been a good referee though - I think once you're banned from officiating at any level you should take the hint and just drop it.
-
Think Chamberlain needs to be pacier and have a higher technique stat in the next update MLG - as evidenced by his star turns in the last few weeks!

Febian Brandy is a must-buy on a free transfer - he's scoring shedloads for me. Play him up front with Barnard and use Lambert as an AMC behind them and you're onto a winner.
-
Rickie's definitely carrying an injury, there's no other explanation really. He's just looked completely out of sorts, very slow, not in the game and not winning any headers. Drop him for a few games - a few weeks away from football ought to do him a world of good. We have Bignall, Barnard and Guly to play up front, and also Doble (who is pretty much an unknown quantity tbh) as well as Garrod if need be. Barnard and Guly were fantastic against Tranmere and worked well yesterday as well, so we should definitely give them a start against Notts Co on saturday. Fair play to him for playing yday with a concussion though, I had a concussion playing rugby a few years back and didn't know what the hell was going on for ages afterwards - not sure I could've been playing again a few days later!

Pahars was one of the most technically gifted players i've ever seen at Saints - his turning and trickery always caught defenders out. Too young to have seen Golac, but Killer and Claus were a quality CB pairing, a force to be reckoned with. Probably those 3 would be my top picks, although Niemi was absolute quality as well, one of the best keepers in Europe when he was playing for us imo.

Thought we were pretty rubbish first half, no movement and we were playing the long ball a lot which was odd considering our style over the last few weeks. Guly and Lambert are far too static in attack, we need a Barnard or Chamberlain up there moving, making runs and chasing defenders. Very relieved to get the goal just before half time though, and I think that made us more motivated coming into the second half. Adkins obviously b*llocked them at HT, because we looked a lot better in the last 45, and deserved the second goal. Hopefully we can carry this form into our games with Notts County and Dag & Red, because these are teams that we should be beating comfortably but would have stuttered against last season. The team looks confident, and if Lambert gets on form we can really surge up the league.

Rickie's still not fit from the concussion he suffered against Huddersfield apparently, although I bet we'll see him on the bench.

Complete c*nt. He's a very close third on my list of 'comedians to kill' behind Michael McIntyre and James Corden. -
2-1 to Saints methinks, although it won't be an easy game at all. Oldham are a good side, they'll cause us problems. -----------------------DAVIS----------------------- BUTTERFIELD-----FONTE-----SEABORNE-----HARDING PUNCHEON-----MORGAN------CHAPLOW-----LALLANA ---------------BARNARD-----GULY------------------ Barnard to score 2.

Rickie never seems to score for me in FM11, so i'm playing him in an attacking midfield role behind Brandy and Barnard up front, who are both banging them in. He's good for assists, but he's missed 3 penalties and hit the crossbar about 4 times in 11 games... -
We'd be mental to turn him down on a free transfer - he CDAJ in the Prem still,

Anyone know where I can get Audio/MIDI interface hardware cheap? I used an Edirol UA-25 at college and that seemed pretty good, although the cheapest i've found it is at around £120. Will need some sequencing software and probably a MIDI controller (keyboard) as well.

It's great in the winter when they have tea and coffee from stalls at the bottom of every other block, means you don't have to queue in the concourse for half an hour and miss the start of the second half. It's cheaper too! -

I've only ever had 1 drink before a Saints game, and that was a bottle of Magners from the concourse before the MK JPT game last season. I thoroughly enjoy myself every time I watch Saints, you don't need 8 or 9 pints to have a good time. -

FA Cup 1st Round Draw-Sunday- Shrewsbury at home
SuperMikey replied to dannysfc's topic in The Saints
Cheers Baj For every Tipton in that draw, there's a Luton...thinking back to our history in cup competitions, we'll probably lose either way. Would be nice if we got Basingstoke away though, they'd get a big crowd for it.
