Nice to see MS bigging up Lambert as well: http://www.clubcall.com/southampton/saints-midfielder-expects-lambert-call-up-1552786.html However, Schneiderlin insists there is much more to Lambert's game than grabbing goals and has backed the Saints striker to impress if he is given a chance at international level. "He can keep the ball, he gives you time to breathe, he's a very good player," the Frenchman told the Daily Echo. "Out of my four goals I've scored this year, he's passed me three times the ball. "He is someone who has great vision as well." He added: "I really hope that he's going to get what he deserves, which is an England call-up. "Seriously, I don't know what they're waiting for to call him up. "He has scored 12 goals and I'm sure he will score even more."

And the Divison one title was due to Mandaric gave them megabucks (prosinescki, merson et al) whilst the rest of the division held fire sales following the collapse of ITV digital. Talk about a repuation built on sand(banks)

I think you may be one of very few. I think it was the manner of our relagation, and the fact that Redknapp later admitted that he couldn't give a toss. Understand why people don't like Lowe, but it shoudn't distract from how awful and lazy redknapp was. As I said earlier.... I also like to see a league table of money spent on wages/transfer fees to points ratio before we judge his results elsewhere...

I'll grant you that this was the case once we were down. The FA cup 'youth team', SCW coming in, the Tejera affair, Clifford and his supersoccer - it was not a happy ship. However this was after 'Arry had been backed fully, shown he couldn't give a toss, and taken us down. Not sure why people are bringing up the other stuff, it was after Redknapp had already shown his incompetence!

That was the season after relegation. Brilliant man and manager, did all he could had arms and legs tied whilst here, not his fault, then stated that Saints fans were 'too intelligent' to go in for 'silly negativity' and give him anything other than rapturous rounds applause of thanks when he appears, the snide implication being that if saints fans who remember his lack of effort, appalling signings, terrible tactics, and public statements that his heart was never was never in it from day one, were just reactionary morons who couldn't appreciate genius.

Can someone on twitter please get Adam to pass on that the crowd are unlikley to give a round of applause to his personal hero Redknapp next week? Forget relegation for one second, this is the man who claimed that 'After about a week at Southampton I knew I had made a mistake.' but didn't mention that to anyone, just did a quarter assed job and moaned about everything, and blamed everyone but himself. If someone could also dig out the 'heart was never in it from day one' quotes that would be even better... Btw, thought both commentators were otherwise excellent today.

Hmm, Lallana back as captain... Maybe being given a chance to fail in that role? Punch out is a big miss - but still optimistic of a result. Oh and if gtomlinson is reading, here is the song we sing every game without fail. It's been number 1 in Southampton for the last 10 years, and we don't even bother to change the lyrics for venue or team

Credit to factlessallen, he saw yellow journalism and gave it just the right tint of blue so that the locals could enjoy it without engaging their brains one ioata. Lets's face it, you could **** on the skates, tell them it's raining and expect them to lap it up if you told them they were the bestest afterwards.

Yes, it would be awful if the media love in, the reports of 'fans turn down harris' (what everyone, everwhere?) came to a sudden halt, wouldn't it. Someone with more contacts than I will have to do so, though..

Loved his stand up, and his really funny films with Gene Wilder. RIP mate.

Nope, 'trust or bust' is their mantra now, as is '100% fan-owned community club', no matter how untrue either of these cases become!
-
Yeah, drinks/bottles never get thrown at the aformentioned gigs or performances when the crowd don't like something they've seen or heard. Oh.

No-one you know 'in the real world' will ever have the opinion of the majority of people who disagree with you on this board. And not because you choose to socialise with those whose personalities and opinions compliment (if not mirror), your own, but because the 'other side' on this board are wrong about everything. Obviously. -
Adam Blackmore @bigadamsport No @saintgert you and others are defending players(mostly to Pompey bash) when my point is players should be treated same as other creditors Expand 2h Steve Grant @SteveGrant1983 @bigadamsport So far, they have, ie they've received not a penny Expand 2h Trousers @Lord_Trousers @SteveGrant1983 @bigadamsport Careful Steve....pointing out the facts = Pompey bashing... Expand 2h Adam Blackmore @bigadamsport @Lord_Trousers @SteveGrant1983 My original point was not about clubs, but about the vagaries of Football Creditors rule - u think it's fair? LOLdy

I also LOVE how they are bigging up penny the belly, for calling for the PM to condemn the PFA for 'promising one thing then doing another'. The fact that the PFA were promised one thing than told another after the agreement was made, seems to have gone over their heads (unlike a sticky bun, she would have reached up to grab that).

Can someone remind big adam that no-one is standing up and saying 'those poor footballers', they are infuriated that not only have 'good ol' pompey' not paid any money owed to any creditor (despite the heavily reduced sums) through two admins, and they continued to not only 'pay' transfer fees they couldn't afford, they are now trying to justify not giving those players the wages they earned during matches to keep them up/down! They bang on forever about the need for fairness and keeping integrity by being 'competitive', but they shaft all creditors to do it, then don't pay up anyway. This is ALWAYS ignored by journalists, broadcasters and political figures, leading the blue few to feel like they are justifed in their whining, which pays their pathetic mewling over being 'punished for the same crime twice' and 'punishing the fans, not the criminals' even more detestable! What they actually mean is they have been given lenient points penalties, which have yet to may any impact on their survival in the instances it has occurred. Bunch of Cunts.

The monkey/ni*ger chanters should be let off in light of this new evidence.
