  1. Unless Saints fans make their views public, there will be no pressure felt from our direction. While I can't speak for the Gao's, I know the the previous regime were terrified of negative views making it into the traditional media or social network trends, and were relatively happy that the questions about the club were 'quarantined' on this site. Of course, in order to have an impact, fans would have to decide upon a time and date where they would make their feelings known, and at a time when they would have a large audience hungry for content and 'drama'. Say 6pm on a Monday on twitter, when most people are logging on looking for a distraction after the first day back at work. It would not take much at that time to make twitters top ten trending list, which in turn would draw in more people to a catchy hashtag, say for instance[h=3]#PellegrinoMustGo[/h]And if fans posted in concert between 6-7pm, there would be little that Southampton FC could do to hide the levels of dissatisfaction people have with the current staffing arrangements. Especially if specific names like Black, Watson were also included, and fans didn't resort to any kind of personal remarks (as saints would immediately spin it as online abuse and harassment by trolls).
  2. No idea since the new regime came in sadly.
  3. The International break would have been an opportunity to replace the manager. The summer would have been an opportunity to buy Begovic + A true centre forward. Instead we gave Forster a new contract and brought in MoPo.
  4. If he makes a consistent run of good performances, then the case for change amongst our coaching staff will be strengthened.
  5. Lol.
  6. Boufal saves Forster, who needs to be dropped ASAP. That goal will live long in the memory.
  7. I think the ISIS target market is Muslims in Progressive liberal countries such as the UK who can be convinced to kill 'Infidels' in return of the blessing of Allah. I mean, i could go back and double check if Sour Mash was the Suicide Bomber who murdered my friend along with 22 other men, women, and children in the Manchester bombing, but i'm pretty sure it wasn't him. If you want to criticise his reactions, fine. But i'm more concerned about the primary ISIS 'target market' than people's response to atrocities.
  8. Simply dreadful. Nothing wrong with 1 up front if the two behind are fast and intuitive. But our 'style' of play doesn't enable it. Oh and great to see another example of #5MoreYearsOfForster
  9. I'll be clapping at 2/3rds of my usual clapping speed, only only smiling with half my face, all the better to show my grudging approval lol #That'llLearn'Em
  10. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-41066529 Good work once again by police both here and in Brussels. Hope the officers in question recover soon, and the damage isn't lasting.
  11. Anybody who reads my post history will see my frustration with JWP in his early years in the first team, but I am so happy to see him mature into a player that provides a real impact. It's bizarre to harshly critique him now when he has progressed so much in the last year.
  12. Virgil lost his accent very quickly.
  13. If you gear people ask the club why they don't partake in a fan's forum anymore, this is why.
  14. Well done to the security services. Nice to have a positive outcome on this thread! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-40802787 Three men who dubbed themselves the Three Musketeers have been found guilty of plotting a terror attack on a police or military target in the UK. Naweed Ali, 29, and Khobaib Hussain, 25, both of Sparkhill, Birmingham, and Mohibur Rahman, 33, of Stoke-on-Trent, were convicted at the Old Bailey. They were arrested in August last year in an undercover police sting using a fake courier firm. A fourth man, Tahir Aziz, 38, from Stoke-on-Trent, was also found guilty. They will be sentenced on Thursday. Police say the men, who had all denied preparing terrorist acts, were inspired by so-called Islamic State, also known as Daesh.
  15. From the beeb: I wonder if he was affiliated with any particular group (extremist christian, BNP, etc), i'm sure that those details will come out soon. Thoughts to all those affected by this ruthless attack.
  16. (My Own) Final Prediction: 80 seat majority for Conservatives, Corbyn to stay on as leader, SNP to lose 8 seats.
  17. A slightly strange one here, with varying levels of detail given across different outlets: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-40189916 The BBC neglects to mention that the Attackers (according to the victim) shouted "This Is for Allah" and broke her ribs. Something seems out of place with the original story though (Did they know each other, previous animosity, etc).
  18. Islamic State massacre at least 160 civilians fleeing western Mosul Drone footage shows dozens of bodies of men, women and children killed as they tried to escape the Islamic State stronghold.
  19. Martyn has now been confirmed as murdered in the terrorist attack. I have been fortunate enough to pass on my condolences to his family, who are understandably distraught at this time, including his brother, who has been doorstepped by journalists after refusing to engage with them on twitter. Rest in Peace my friend. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-manchester-40026357
  20. You made a deliberately glib remark after I had provided details of a personal friend who may very well have been murdered by an agent of ISIS (he is still missing, thanks for asking). Your pathetic attempts to legitimise your despicable actions with handful of purple prose further up the page is as futile as it is cowardly. For your next great wheeze, I suggest you text the parents of the missing children and ask them if the music was good at the concert. These are real people who have been murdered, not abstract concepts. You repugnant little worm.
  21. I think someone needs to alert the authorities about Sour Mash being at fault for this Terrorist event Meanwhile I'm here wondering If my Friend Martyn Hakan Hett, who was my hallmate in 1st year, and is now missing in Manchester, is dead or just unconscious. He spoke to me regarding the fact that due to his Ancestry and sexuality, he had received a lot of hate and threats of violence from 'Mainstream' Muslims. But hey ho, he was probably making it up and this whole thing is a massive hoax by him. If he has been murdered, his death is probably "ISIS's wet dream" given his outspoken and unapologetic stance towards his private and public life, not anything a poster on Saintsweb says in reaction to yet another religiously motivated mass murder.
