The original purpose was misinturpreted (sp?) somewhat, however, I am big enough to admit, I dont understand all things HR, however some of the replies directed at me have been a little harsh. I think this is because they mis understood what I meant. I was not saying abolish the HRA.

All this talk of mental illness has got me thinking. Obviously with things like Down Syndrome, there is clearly an error with the brain. However, people classing Serial Killers and Paedophiles as mentally ill? How can you be sure its an illness and not just a wrong preference? The brain is so complicated that I dont think Doctors fully understand how it works and quite often diagnose things wrong. OCD being a prime example. 25 years ago, you wouldnt dream of taking your kids to the doctors because he/she was naughty. They would get a smack and learn from it. Respect would be re-instilled and the kid would more often than not behave. Today, you take the kid to the doctors and the doctor diagnoses the kid with OCD and prescribes them with drugs! I personally dont think paedophiles are mentally ill. They are just doing something wrong. Very wrong. If you slice open their brain and discover they have slightly more of one kind of chemical, that doesnt necessarily mean that chemical must cause you to think of children in inapropriate ways. Everyone is different, because I have a different finger print to the next man, it doesnt mean that my kind of fingerprint causes me to kill people. I just think as humans, because we know so little about the human brain (we only use a small amount of it), it's very disturbing how doctors can claim to diagnose mental illnesses willy nilly.

People like this IMO are the scum of the earth. They should be exterminated, not allowed to breed and further dilute the intelligence of the human race. What do they bring to soceity? Little miss scabby-f*ck wont get any decent grades, she will not get a job (she clearly has authority issues, having been excluded from school 40 times) and will no doubt find some chavy little c*nt to breed with at the age of 15. Mum will turn into a proud gran and then the state will not only be paying for a failed mother turn gran parent, but the cycle starts again! Just f*cking drown the lot of them

Hmm, good point. Its difficult to say, I guess the person who actually pulls the trigger is the killer (even if instructed by someone else) as they can make their own choices and choose not to do it. Would you not prefer them sat in prison for the rest of their natural life, every day having to live through what they have done. Knowing they will never get out of prison, thinking about things they will never be able to do. You can always give the a piece of your mind too as they will be alive to hear you.

FWIW, I am too against it. I feel prison sentences should be increased for more severe crimes and then litterally leave them to rot in prison. Capital punichment is the quick and easy way out of it. 40, 50 or even 60 years behind bars would drive you insane which is all someone would deserve for commiting a crime which merit that.

I tell thee what, if you had a few bob and good negotiation skills, the city of Varosha, Cyprus would be worth a punt investing in. If you could get the Turks who chased everyone out of it to hand it over, and you re-invested making it a good tourist place, you would earn a killing. Sell the commercial property on for a cheap ish amount for a return of share in takings (pubs/clubs etc) you'd be laughin!
