  1. Some of our signings since the start of last season have been really good buys. Many of the players have needed time to bed in but in their 2nd season are starting to look real stars. Salisu and Diallo look exceptionally good. Add in the purchase of Tino and loan signing of Broja and we seem to be getting back to the inspired buys rather than dross on inflated salaries. With the U18s looking so much better this year just how much has Crocker's influence played a major part in our (embryonic) growth as a club?
  2. Bednarek is so s**t, going to ground there. But Saints don't deserve anything from this game. Toothless, players out of position and no attacking threat whatsoever. When an 18 year old kid is our best player by a country mile you know we have problems. No doubt the changes will come now as he only makes changes when we are on the back foot.
  3. Utter garbage that was. Complete rubbish - absolutely no attacking intent and we may as well be playing with 10 with Moi out there (who is once again showing how slow of thought and pace he is). Ralph being oh so clever playing WP at LB is not working....wtf has Perraud done wrong not to start as a LB playing at LB? Take Moi off, move Tino up and bring on Perraud. Surely Broja and Tella need to come on after about 60 minutes too. This is pitiful to watch.
  4. What a result getting rid of both Bertrand and Vestegaard. Bertrand was a good servant but crap the last year or so and Vestie was just crap except for one purple patch. Can't believe Leicester gave Bertrand 2 years and paid 15 million for Vestie. Salisu and Perraud are better than both.
  5. And Armstrong has been awful
  6. Redmond? WTF - Tella should be on.
  7. Garbage - for all Saints being on top we have not troubled their keeper. Poor by JWP and then terrible defending by the 2 CBs. Game over - this lot couldn't score in a brothel.
  8. I think you're wrong on this one. he was dog s***e last season (and for much of the previous season. 1 game against a 2nd string Man City.
  9. You really are a bit of a t**t aren't you? No idea why you support Saints as you never have a positive thing to say about the club and all you ever do is moan and complain. Bet you;re a barrel of laughs down the pub
  10. Hopefully this young lad is as good as the Chelsea fans are making him out to be. AT this stage all potential but sounds like there could be a massive upside. Love this new direction the club is going: we can offer bright young talent from big clubs the opportunity for 1st team football much quicker and if it means buy back clauses should be win wins in that if they are successful so are we and we make a profit. A very different approach from others in the market and one that is more sustainable for clubs our size: we are not going to be splashing out 20 million+ on players. When we have spent (for us big bucks) pretty much every signing has been a disaster.
  11. The usual hysterical tarts made to look extremely foolish again with news of a, hopefully, exciting and inspiring signing who looks like he has a great future. Better than spending 5 million on a one season loan for a player that does not look all that.
  12. I've heard from a reliable source that Fraser is on 200K per week. It's been kept quiet because of all the angst it would cause if people were aware of it. Also, if he plays 10 games this season it triggers an automatic 2 year extension. Watch this space....
  13. How could anyone of forgotten Mark Dennis - absolute nutter!
  14. 100% agreed Norm. Some real dick heads on here who are quite simply trolling all day long. The bullying of MLG is extremely distasteful (whatever you think of his postings) and posters are allowed to get away with it all day long. There is a reason some posters were permanently banned from other sites yet the online bullying is allowed to continue unchecked on this site.
  15. WTF are people getting on their high horses over this for? Pathetic. This is a big thing in business - and it works. If you have a prospect that is a mad baseball fan, for example, getting them to do a 30 second video as a means of a cold intro is different (well, not so different now that so many people are doing it). Many of you on here have turned into/are complete weirdos.
  16. I am biased but JWP looks extremely effective out there. Far more so than many (including Rashford). He's played incisive balls, got stuck in and making himself available.
  17. I think Brentford will do well next season. Well coached and well run I think they will surprise some next year. Certainly I think they will do better than Saints
  18. Can't think of a single positive to look forward to. The thoughts of watching crap like Minamino, Redmond, Djneppo and Walcott again next season is not exactly exciting. We have a very poor squad with a very poor manager. His stubbornness and idiocy around GKs sums it all up. Forster is head and shoulders the #1 yet he rotates them and McCarthy has been atrocious 2nd half of the season. Quite literally nothing to look forward to as far as Saints are concerned - the pathetic FA Cup Semi sums up all that is wrong about Saints. Spineless, gutless and awful tactics
  19. Hassenhuttl is actually a pretty s**t manager. Dropping Stephens (a leader on the pitch) for the awful Bednarek, Redmond being untouchable, Minamino being utter s***e yet we want him back, a very poor Walcott being handed a 2 year contract. We seem to be making awful decisions consistently and he is at the heart of them. Why did Tella, one bright spot this season, not start?
  20. Hassenhuttl has to go. One trick pony. Thank God I did not waste my time watching that.
  21. Who cares tbh. This season has ended up very forgettable after a fantastic start and we are in big trouble next season
  22. Forster is by far and away the best keeper we have and has looked good since being back in the 1st team. Rotation is ridiculous when you have one keeper so significantly better than the other. Don't just blame the keepers - we have a bang average squad. Walcott, Djneppo, Redmond, Minamino, Stephens, Bednarek and others would struggle to get in another Prem side. We have very little quality throughout the squad and will, rightly, be tagged as relegation candidates next season without a massive overhaul.
  23. OMG - rotation of keepers? McCarthy is shockingly bad - how on earth did he let that in. Embarrassing in the extreme
  24. To be fair, as with any business any info will/should be very limited as NDAs should ensure that minimal info can be provided. That's why, typically, the first thing you'll hear, publicly, in business is when it gets to the due diligence phase. Until that moment 'loose lips cost lives' and can derail things very quickly. Where would the fun be if we can't speculate on these things?
  25. There are some right t***s on here - Jack was excellent yesterday and I don;t think it is any coincidence we have looked stronger since he came back in the side. Certainly even at LB he offered more leadership and control than Bertrand for most of the season. The posters that say "mistakes can't happen" are clueless - everyone makes mistakes, even the top, top players. Stephens has leadership qualities that are sadly lacking from our squad. The comments about Benali sum things up: I would rather have leaders and 100% committed players out there giving it their all rather than players who are not committed and disappear when the going gets tough (which is most of our squad).
