I currently have four screens with the interweb open on them. Only three have Saintsweb on tho, so I'm not too bad. Pleased to see "takeover latest official comments updates only etc" has been replaced with the much more realistic "gossip". It's a sign that will be picked up by the Echo and Meridian soon enough...

Did anyone else see the clips of players back at Staplewood yesturday doing their stretches? I know it was first day back and they might just have other things on their minds but... ...they looked awful. Like a pub side warming up. Am I being too harsh?

A Gratuitous Anti Pompey Thread To Help Cope With The Stress
Polaroid Saint replied to 1976_Child's topic in The Saints
Be careful lads, I once upset a P*mpey fan with a few choice words and he got all mouthy and violent. I was alone in Fratton and I starting bricking it when he threatened to get his dad, his brother, and his uncle to all find me and beat me up. Imagine my relief when they all turned out to be one person. -
The Football League is an organisation that Saints belong to, as such we have already agreed to follow their rulings including any points deductions. Any 'appeal' is a right granted by said organisation, not by law. If there is no such 'right' then we cannot then retrospectively ask for one. Petulance on our part will only serve to damage the club further. Take the points deduction and play the game in the right league, don't take it and find another league to join... ...simples.

New Owner, New manager in a nutshell please?
Polaroid Saint replied to Noodles34's topic in The Saints
I have had just had good word that this is true. FACT! Although it sounds ridiculous I understand everything is in place to make it happen! WGS has the money all in place from some sound investments in both the north and south and Hot Rod is really looking foward to hanging up the leopardskin latax for a couple of years as he embarks on his first foray into professional football coaching. -
it will start with a big whoooshing noise, everyone will look up. There will be the briefest moment; a sense of crushing disapointment coupled with a profound feeling of calm, ease and contentment. And then it will all be over.

The Unofficial Official Unofficial Saints kit ideas
Polaroid Saint replied to Crab Lungs's topic in The Saints
This is all getting very fancy. bodies, wait heads!, on them and everything! I would love a repeat of the eighties stylee kit (flybee - air florida? same difference). My "rising sun" one for a training top. and blue and yellow quaters for away. Please mr.mystery owner. Nice -
I tried my hardest to use the internet to find out just whom the new owners may be, but unfortunately 'Wolfram|Alpha wasn't sure what to do with my input'. So I'm at a loss. I'll have a wild stab at Kilroy-Silk. But then again, who wouldn't?

Really like it Si. Top notch. Could be a little less busy at times; As an layout guy myself, I find (when the editor or client feels the need to run one) that reader surveys often come back with the same comments regardless of the mags subject, one main comment being that they always want more 'white space' - personally I like a magazine stuffed to the brim, but a little extra space does add a touch more class I guess...) EDIT: Just looked at the supplement mag - that's what I mean about space! I guess the sense of 'Branding' (obviously required for the advertising supplement) could be adapted and brought over to the proper mag a bit?!? Dunno, at the moment it's defo pitched at the right weekly mag market at the moment. I think both work really well, I really hope you get a backer. I do have a few contacts, so I'll send the link on.

The official 'how long can it take to say nothing' thread
Polaroid Saint replied to eelpie's topic in The Saints
Surprised no-one has pointed out this bit of insight; There are known knowns. These are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know. Donald Rumsfeld Which I think can give us all comfort in these difficult times. ;-) -
The official 'how long can it take to say nothing' thread
Polaroid Saint replied to eelpie's topic in The Saints
a single tone, once emitted, from any source, will at some point break down. this discord will resonant on several other progressively decaying tones until one could initially assume that there was no tone, or sound, at all. However it would be incorrect to say there was no sound, merely the inability of the observer to detect that particluar frequency/time signature. Given that all mass is energy vibrating at varying frequencies, one could adequately conclude that in even in a seeming state of 'nothing' there is in fact an imperceptible 'something' allowing a 'space' in which the (perceived) 'nothing' can exist. -
Done. Still on 36% tho...

You're getting it all wrong Nick. The idea is to actual reduce your post count. There are several ways to do this, the most praise worthy being a high number of deleted posts, but simply forgetting your username/password, random loses when the server has one of it's moments, changing forum addresses/domains, etc are all good. Plus of course the timeless classic of having several new usernames every time a takeover rumour comes along... :-)
