  4. At least we won't have to put up with his drivel about golf actually being a sport - it's not, it's a pastime like chess, darts and snooker for the record.

  8. Have you clicked on those links?
  9. I was under the impression that to get the full benefits of HD you needed a screen of at least 37"
  10. I went to Niagara when i was a teenager and it is very weird how everything has this roaring background noise, there is also so much mist created that the sheets in the hotels are ever so slightly damp (and no, i didn't wet the bed!) We also had a friendly racoon outside our window which you could stroke if you fed it. Canada is like a clean, friendly slightly dull version of the states.

  12. Also this, my brother drives one and it's very reliable! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/RENAULT-19-TD-1-9L-EW-PAS-CL-11-Months-MOT-FSH_W0QQitemZ250534539429QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAutomobiles_UK?hash=item3a5505b0a5#ht_500wt_1182
  13. Nothing to do with me, found it after a quick scout on eBay. Usually reliable cars and ideal first car to bash up before getting a nice car. oh and insurance should be manageable. Only downside is the short MOT. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1994-PEUGEOT-106-GRADUATE-WHITE_W0QQitemZ290373124395QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAutomobiles_UK?hash=item439b96412b#ht_500wt_1182
  14. Did you and your imaginary girlfriend go on the rollercoaster?
  15. £20M is peanuts compared to the amount of exposure and prestige that comes with hosting, i bet all the hospitality trades are going ferkin' mental.
  16. I don't think anyone would object to paying £3.50 but £13.50 is daylight robbery.
  17. He's not objecting to the customs charge, it's the fact that you have to pay Parcel Force a fee for paying the customs charge! I've paid a customs charge of £5.09 before and had to pay Parcel Force £8 on top of that because they paid the fee for me.
  18. No chance, you 'Guaranteed 3 day delivery' will have something in the small print to cover themselves - 'We guarantee that this parcel should reach you in 3 days, in the event it doesn't we are not held accountable - so tough ****'. I'd ask to speak to the depot manager and threaten small claims court action but to be honest it's less hastle to just pay.
  19. They are a bunch of robbing ****s, they've been getting away with this scam for years. The charge for them paying is a complete ****-take, they have the monopoly so they can do what they like.
  20. Woot :smt040
  21. Do you think it's one of Mandaric's left over's?

  24. If you join the services you should join with the expectation you may be asked to do things you don't want to do. The lad should be court-martialled without doubt, he let down himself and the people he served with. It's also been reported (i can't now find the article) that the lad had a 'crisis' and he's been hijacked by some anti-war groups to help their propaganda, if it's true then the lad needs some help whilst serving his time.
