yes, no more likely chinos these days, cheque shirts are long done t-shirts are more likely or a printed shirt, huaraches, beards haven't been a thing that's hugely popular for about two years, dunno i'd guess probably festivals at this time of year.

*sigh* this isn't how it works, this will have been briefed in to the agency about 6-8months ago with a deadline of probably at least a month ago (to give time for the clients acceptance). The initial sign off would've been the concept, then story boards, then base character design and finally the full animations (all signed off at once). Once the assets would've been delivered it would've been passed to the social media agency for Southampton (another third party supplier), most likely with scheduled releases, so either timed tweets and facebook posts that are managed with something like hootsuite, to include the analytics tagging etc, or a specific social media manager or team (who would also be retained by the club to respond). Despite what many on here think Saints will most likely be a single client amongst a roster, in some cases the biggest client but mostly about medium sized, and due to the sign off process and release process dictated above this will managed very closely and treated far more as "part of the day job" than anything special. Oh and knowing the industry pretty well it won't be a juice bar today it'll be the nearest pub with a beer garden, the same as pretty much everyone else.

We've definitely been working on a replacement and have been since before the end of the season. If we get our first choice i reckon it'll happen by mid/end of next week, if not then it's going to rumble on for a little while yet.

Hope to god they don't move the ground, it's in the perfect location. Back where we started, walking distance from loads of pubs and the train station, in fact location is probably the best thing about St Mary's. Would be gutted if we got a ****ty out of town ground, would ruin one of the few parts left of the day out that i enjoy.

We made contact with Silva's agent before the end of the season (up to two weeks before the end of the season is what i heard) and dismissed him fairly quickly, from what i heard he was never really a serious candidate. No idea why though. Like you said i'm sure there's a far longer list than just one manager, and there's going to be some on there we haven't heard of or haven't even been mentioned. When it comes to potential new managers the club tends to be very good at keeping things quiet, leaks are as likely as anything to come from other sources.

There's a lot leaking out the club at the moment compared to other years. Maybe you should be asking why that is instead of doubting everyone. The club is definitely not all roses right now and it's times like that people talk. What the difficulty is is filtering rumour from fact. Because believe it or not a football club is like any other business and in the absence of information the space is often filled with rumour, and most naturally a lot of that is false. That said some is true, it's why when I hear things I check to see if it matches up, and if I hear it a few times I start to think there's truth in it. As i've said elsewhere i'm genuinely concerned about this take, in my view it's NOT a good thing for the club.

I'm still fairly expectant of an exciting name, and this takeover stuff has mapped out pretty exactly to how i was told things would go.

To be fair it's true they never walk alone, mainly because they're always walking with a massive f*cking chip on their shoulders and a sense of self entitlement and self importance that's second only to tory politicians

The press briefings come from somewhere, and it's not always from the side of the buying club. SKD was totally correct in saying VVD wants to go. From my point view i see this "tapping up" complaint to be aimed not at Liverpool but at the agents of our players. Basically a "stop touting our players without our say so" warning. I also expect us to sell still, and would be surprised if it's not to Liverpool.

All I've heard about the fee was a that it's record breaking due to number of clubs interested. Also I know the person that wrote the press briefing and where it came from, I'll leave that one at that though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

To be fair i did say this was going to happen a couple of weeks back, only outlier was what would City do in terms of outbidding.

Well i know that you're going to struggle with this but some people have friends (not people they play computer games with, or the staff at Forbidden Planet), and don't want to expose those friends jobs. But just to clarify i'll put in here what i put on the ugly as some seem hard of thinking. I will (and have) and have happily shared this info with people in pubs and in person, i'm currently in the (almost unfortunate) position of knowing far too much about what goes on in the club due to personal contacts, i would actually love to share all i know here, some of it readily available by the way, some of it isn't great either, but unfortunately this stuff gets sent to the club via twitter and the like. Because of that i don't want to share on forums as it's damn f*cking easy to trace back to source and i'm not going to put someone's job in jeopardy, if other people "leak" stuff i'll happily confirm and deny based on what i know as there's far less risk. Hopefully you understand that situation, i'm not trying to be a d*ck just protect people's jobs (though to be fair if it came from one of my sources who was a journo i wouldn't care as they're not directly employed by the club). All i'll say is that i know of two names that have been talked about and are real, one of whom has now been discredited because they didn't fit, the other we've talked to before. I also know the full story about Gareth Rodgers and the takeover as it stands, including how Kat feels, and about the players and their attitude regarding Puel. Like i say i'd love to share the details but i'm just not willing to expose people like that. The club have in the past put fake names out to catch leaks, so they're directly traceable back, and that's a massive risk. Also i'll add to this i know a fair bit about the VVD situation due to serendipity (and overlap in the industry i work in). In fact that same thing is true about a few of our players and few other players at other clubs too.

You are talking utter bullsh*t here, i grew up and lived in southampton for 27 years and still come back regularly, i barely ever heard so much as a peep of abuse about the French, the same as i don't now. Either you keep some of the strangest most niche circles known to Southampton, or you're just completely wrong and have assumed or invented something to fit your world view.

Or our first choice is still in another role and when the dominos start falling it'll happen quickly.
