This, he is without doubt class and will be a fantastic player. Older players than him have struggled to make the transition to new football, new country. Unfortunately sometimes with young players, the fee does not represent proven current ability, but also represents the potential of that player. I do not quite know what people were expecting from him. i think the problem is he his best position is off the striker and we have not really played that way before so the team is adjusting to gaston and a new way. It has already been quoted by players that they are getting used to his wavelength and basically reading better, some of the things his quick brain does.

Classic, make mistakes whilst gaining experience. I am sure that is what an under pressure manager thought, so you really do not think he is going to make a **** up when the ball goes near him. How many will he have to do before you do **** yourself

Are you kidding, any attribute that a good goalkeeper should have, he hasn't got. Just because he is young it doesn't mean he has potential. I would love to see where this evidence of potential is. Is it being released by Valencia or is it from the few games he played for gillingham, or is it the games he has played for us and the mistakes he has made. Or is it just that when we signed him in the report it stated potential. I think its the latter guess work as working on factual performances he shows no positional sense, handling poor, command of area poor, angles poor, talking poor... Basically poor

Spot on, Gazzanigga ( I refuse to shorten to Gazza as he doesn't deserve that name ), looks awkward, not commanding, not agile. He has already made more errors than he has decent saves. I watched the game yesterday and he had no goo things bar one save from Tarabt. Apart from that very very shaky and if KD or AB had performed like him, I agree with you there would be uproar. It seems like some are saying he has potential but what is that based on, Someone at the club saying so when we signed him ?????? Davis and Boruc handling is far far better, their positionin and angles are far better. Boruc has been in the top keepers in the world Lists. He may not have been at the very top of his game since joining BUT what major error has he done. Some say West Ham's first goal when he didn't save the dangerous ball in. Lets face it QPR keeper today nearly had one exactly the same from Punch, the same keeper who was one of the best in the world two to three years ago, pepe reina has done it before. Those balls in are a nightmare for keepers and defenders. What else has he done that has been so wrong and cost us points ?
