  1. todays, hopefully first of two, updates to 1st post.
  2. Do they think they can reform in the same league as they would have been without liquidation? If not I can see how Ben Haim's wages might lead to heavy losses in the wessex league.
  3. I'm confused. If they raise £5 million and buy pompey where does the money for salaries come from? Who is going to cover this loss? Will those asked to stump up £1000 pounds just to buy the rotting carcass find themselves legally responsible for covering the debt for the losses?
  4. I see they are avoiding mention of the "Hong Kong Elephant in the Room" Failing to mention that if who ever owns it keeps FP they also keep chainrai's charge on FP.

    Fuel in the tank?

There is one interesting angle to the panic buying caused by government advice to top up. Apparently it's possible that the extra spent on fuel this month could change the figure that is used to determine if we have gone back into recession to the point where its not the case when it looks at the moment like it will show recession. But i am sure that's just a coincidence!?

    Fuel in the tank?

Thing is that oil is not just used to make petrol. Where does the raw material for all the plastics that the world relies on come from? Not only do we need to sort out alternate sources of energy for home use and transport but also replacements for all the things produced from oil.
  7. Fairly clear that the modern (post malwinnie (sp?)) FL will not make a decision unless they are forced to. They are probably hoping that pompey get relegated without them having to make a decision but with that not certain and the date of the CVA payment due in the near future its hard to see how they can avoid a decision? My guess is that they will try to pretend a problem does not exist for as long as they can and hope pompey are condemned by then anyway.
  8. Don't know why MP's /Police are not following this up. is complete ********. Almost all the the data requested could not be obtained legally. Is there a legal route for finding out peoples "friends and families" numbers or if they have a criminal record?

    Fuel in the tank?

Golden rule of government should be 'Never ever say that something is not a crisis' because then people will think there is one. Telling people 'no need to panic buy petrol' will lead to panic at the pumps.
  10. In hindsight it was probably not the hacking of the cards that bought down OnDigital but at the time NI did not know this. I see they are in trouble in Oz for basically doing the same thing.
  11. only update from West Ham match is the calculation for west ham's maximum points. All else remains as was.

    Turf

I suspect that mowing astroturf could be a mistake?!

    Turf

Err, no thanks! Its quite similar to laying paving really. Get a nice level base of sand then just put the artificial turf on top. Ours you then raked in some dried sand that makes it more realistic and helps hold it down.

    Turf

Son and friends often play kickabout on it which is why I took it up to the wall to allow them more space, plus less things to get damaged!

    Turf

This is ours just after I installed it a couple of years ago. The building at the end is shed/home cinema/playroom/sleepover bedroom (it has its own WC) so get lots of traffic back and forth. The area at the end is in almost constant shade and was always very mossy when it was real grass.

    Turf

Put down artificial grass (a.k.a. astroturf) on our lawn and have not regretted it. No mowing and kids can play on it year round without treading in mud or ruining it.
  17. Reading win would, no matter what the result of tuesday's match give us the smaller maximum to beat (90/88/87 for WH depending on tuesday) however that does not take into account that we need to play reading soon after and what effect a win would have on their confidence. Taking that into account I would say a draw.
  18. Possibly I should be more specific and say my figures assume that points will only be obtained via the normal route of winning or drawing matches and that none of the 3 teams at the top will lose points for any reason.
  19. Its the confusion based on the fact that at the moment we obviously don't know the result of the west ham v reading match. We know one of them will lose points but not which. However because we know some points will be dropped we can lower the minimum we need to beat the highest lowest (I can see this might not help...) from the possible results. It will hopefully all be a lot clearer after tuesday!
  20. I think, as I said, in reality we can probably take 1 point off each because of the goal difference but I was trying to stick to the 'what could happen in theory' rules rather than the 'what might happen in practice' route.
  21. It will be a critical week ahead for the hammers. Their game in hand on Tuesday against a posh side who recently beat Reading 3-1 followed by the match against Reading. Going to be more than one twitchy person in London this week.
  22. Updated first post based on today's results
  23. If the BBC do not have internet streaming rights then it may not be on iplayer.
  24. The fiver probably fell out of the e-envelope or was taken by the e-postman
  25. I suspect if you put them on ebay with 30,000 available someone might twig!
