  1. This could be a very long day, especially with Howard Webb giving them absolutely everything even if they just slip over.
  2. Can't tackle, pass or run yet. Come on lads.
  3. Wow, we are asleep.
  4. Cork not even in the squad? Sad times if he is leaving.
  5. Gutting about Fox, hopefully we can keep the ball away from the left hand side. Other than that... good team.
  6. And breeeaaathhheeeeee. Relax mate, it was a funny remark from Saint, he's not slagging anybody off! It's true, we are running out of things to talk about. Evidently so, as we have a thread about watching ex-Saints players play for other clubs!! Smile and try to enjoy life to its fullest. As for me, no, I've never done this.
  7. Football kits are so important.
  8. Great signing for Leicester and a good move for Deano. Two promotions and a trophy, excellent. Thank you Mr Hammond.
  9. Pochettino's Bambinos.
  10. Mauricio's minors??? Sounds well dodgy.
  11. Complaining about poor threads by creating the worst thread seen for months. Good job OP.
  12. You did just say that our kit is ****ter than their new 3rd kit though, which it clearly, clearly isn't!
  13. I think many people will be able to relate to your post CWAB. I spend too much time on here, reading news reports etc as you say you do, but thankfully it doesn't dominate my life as it does for someone like Turkish for example, who clearly has nothing else in his life but post on here. When you get to his level, that's when you should start worrying. For me, most of my days are spent doing things I love in an incredible place but when I am sitting down and not working and have an internet connection I'll come on here. Some people like to collect the stamp, some like to make the gym, some like to hunt the animal and rip apart with wild dogs... and others like to follow Southampton football club.
  14. I think he'll be included, based on Neville's comments and the general reaction from many in the media. I reckon this has a large effect on who Roy will pick.
  15. It's all very well knowing the rules son, but if you don't apply them to the action you're watching then you look rather silly. Here's another rule you might find handy... the offside call is made when the ball is kicked, not a split second after the ball has left the passers foot. Maybe this is where you're getting confused. And as for "We'd be going mental if Sunderland had scored that goal it was given"... yes we would, if the Sunderland player was offside.
  16. As the ball was kicked he wasn't offside lads. Very hard for you to see first time at the game, but when you see the replays and they put that fancy line across the pitch on the last defender, Jay was without question onside. Very hard call for the lino, but in those circumstances the benefit should be given to the striker (especially as he was on! ) Great finish too. So if that had been given I don't think we'd have this thread, and we might be celebrating a win with J-Rod playing a huge part it.
  17. Lallana's penalty claim was an interesting one. The reason he went down so heavily wasn't because of a pull or a dive, his standing leg slipped. Look again. But the defender definitely had a hold of his shirt also so it could have been given.
  18. lol, oh bobby bobby what have we been drinking/taking tonight???
  19. To those slating J-Rod, would you be saying the same if his onside (just.. seen lots of replays) goal had been given? What a great finish that was. He is quite clearly a Prem class player. Fonte, JWP, Wanyama and Lallana also really good today. We'll win lots of games this season. Umm oh dear, so people aren't allowed to get predictions wrong anymore? It was a perfectly valid prediction, nothing at all to do with "just turn up and win". If Rodriguez's goal had stood I think we'd have won comfortably. Onwards and upwards.
  20. He is class. My mouth fart in the West Brom match thread about his set-peices is well and truly taken back and shamed upon. He is going to be huge for us! Our academy... bloody hell. What the hell are they feeding these kids?
  21. He did look pretty silky when he came on. Also could have been sent off for a second yellow, he'll see plenty of reds and yellows in his time with us! Hope he manages to score enough goals to justify the time he may be unavailable!
  22. Having seen the excellent performance v wedt brom and signing Osvaldo I'm confident we can win this one. I'd like to see Boruc Chambers/Clyne Lovren Fonte Shaw Schneid Wanyama Lallana Ramirez Osvaldo Lambert 3-0 Saints. Lambert, Osvaldo (2) Sent from my GT-S7568
  23. What's happened? Just realised you're unable to use words to get your point across? Yeah, I'd facepalm that too.
  24. Can't see the Northam pulling it off, to be honest! It requires some singing ability to hit the notes in the melody! It's certainly not a bad effort, if it gets going then great. But what about after he has just scored?
  25. It's original so it would certainly be better than "clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap OSVALDO" or "doo doo doo" etc but what about if he has just scored? Don't think this one will catch on to be honest. Think the Viva Ronaldo/Dani Osvaldo and Satisfaction suggestions are better, personally.
