  1. To be fair the bit about asking the receptionists to do the welcome to the club was pretty funny, and accurate.
  2. We look clueless when a ball comes into our box. I think McCarthy's dallying doesn't help.
  3. Yes he's likely to go and play 3 or 4 good games and then slide back into dodgy performances. Really need him to keep a long run of form going.
  4. Doubt the club want to actively sell, but if they receive any kind of cash offer he's gone. It's what we do.
  5. Not just by a little bit anymore. He's now moved streaks ahead of McCarthy who has regressed dramatically in the past 2 seasons, which really isn't saying much for Macca because Fraser isn't brilliant. That goal today, my oh my. Anyone trying to defend him for that needs to have a rethink. Stop allowing your biases to affect your view of what was an appallingly soft goal to concede. Yes the powder puff shot took a slight deflection. Then it trickled through McCarthy's legs and into the net. He's gone from being a half decent keeper to the worst in the league by a country mile. Also regarding the scapegoat comment, let me try and help. The reason people criticise different players each week depends on which players played badly that day. So for example if one week Adams scores a hattrick of own goals people on here are going to criticise him. Doesn't mean he's a scapegoat or people want to insult him just for fun. It means he played badly. Alex McCarthy keeps making dreadful mistakes, so what people do on here is write comments about how dreadful those mistakes have been. If he plays superbly, I reckon people will write about how superbly he played. It's not as dramatic and sinister as you suspect. It's people talking about footballers playing badly, and in Macca's case playing badly consistently.
  6. Stephens divides opinion among Saints fans, but I still don't think we'd find a better squad CB than him who would accept not playing every game. Against Man Utd he was fantastic I thought, stepping ahead of defenders, making some brilliantly timed crunching tackles and giving the Utd players a whole heap of sh*t. Was delighted to see it. Also two important challenges in the build up to our goal, with some truly embarrassing claims of a foul from the butthurt Utd fans. We could do with more of his kind of passion too, keep it up Jack.
  7. McCarthy get out of this club please
  8. To be fair I hadn't seen the trainers. Couple of points marked down for those
  9. Stephens you beauty. You started that goal
  10. Great play Stephens against Martial
  11. We're giving away so many stupid fouls
  12. Ralph looking sharp.
  13. How good is it to see fans back in SMS? Shame it's almost half empty
  14. For anyone silly enough to want to watch http://liveonscore.tv/soccer-streams/premier-league/southampton-vs-manchester-united/30732/ Really, there's never any need to pay for streams. Flawless ones are always readily available. 👍
  15. Ralph how have you managed to lose such a large majority of the fanbase? It started so well! Here's to a shock win now to shut us all up eh?
  16. Agreed with all this until you said "small"
  17. Starting to completely lose faith in Ralph now. How can he think that's his best side? We're in big trouble this season. Would love to be wrong.
  18. Good isn't it? Nice how small clubs can come up through the leagues and become a success. One of the things that makes the football pyramid so special.
  19. Well it's not an apple is it? It's not an FA Cup or Premier League title but it's a hell of a lot better than a kick in the teeth. Picking up silverware (of whatever kind) is the kind of thing ex-footballers remember when they're retired. Theo's 2 Community Shield medals look pretty nice in his trophy cabinet anyway. Oh and yes you're right! Greedy agents, simulation, FIFA and bribery aren't what's wrong with modern football. No no, it's people thinking a trophy is a trophy that's really sticking the boot into our beautiful game.
  20. Same! Imagine being somebody who uses this kind of terminology though. "He's up there with your Messi's, your Ronaldo's, your Henry's". Such an ugly use of our beautiful language.
  21. And to think they let Martinez go to Villa for 10 mil less than they're spending on Ramsdale. The mismanagement at that club! Sad to see it's continuing even today.
  22. Shocking business from Arsenal, what on Earth are they doing? I wouldn't have been happy had we spent £10 mil on Ramsdale or £20 mil on White. They appear desperate to have England internationals in their squad regardless of their actual ability. Desperate.
  23. That joystick needs an 18+ rating
  24. What on earth... so to be a true fan you can't think an out of form Saints are going to lose to a very strong Man Utd? Such silliness.
  25. 2 wins? Bloody hell. You're in the big time now, enjoy it.
