Absolutely. And isn't it funny that Wilde wanted a British manager, is a majority shareholder and still Lowe got his way over him. What a pathetic man. It's a desperate attempt at getting back on side with the fans who Wilde has desperately let down and lied to over the last few years. Mr.Wilde and Mr.Crouch too, please stay out of the press, keep your opinions to yourselves and stop damaging the little reputation we have left by continuously dragging up history and old arguments and leave this 'I told you so' crap well alone. The club and it's fans have suffered enough.

Third X here. Bye bye.

Please drop me a PM with your address so I can post you a book on spelling and the correct use of grammar. I'm by no means an expert in the English language, but the OS is full of mistakes.

Roth has been split into two to a certain extent. One of those parts owns a property management company based on the South Coast as well as other business interests and links in and around the area. But as said already, they will not be interested in Southampton unfortunately. They are too good and too wise in what they do to take such a gamble with their money and business.

Indeed, but the above domain is co.uk so the option is there to be used. As said, please don't think I'm defending the action but it is up to the person registering the domain to decide if they want their personal details hidden. I would advise a Mod removes the info and the person in question hides their details from the domain registration though, given the 'sensitive' nature of what's being discussed and the emotions involved.
-
While I agree with what you're saying, anybody who registers a website has the chance to hide their details and if you don't they are free to the world very, very easily. Do a WHOIS search for Saintsweb.co.uk and you'll see what I mean, no details are displayed.
-
Highly unlikely given their current investments, and it wouldn't likely be under the Rotch brand, but if that does happen and they are involved I'd personally be very pleased They do already have business in the South too

Euell has been one of our best players this season, when he has been used. His experience has been obvious to see and so desperately needed.
-
Has Skacel signed?
-
I agree with the 'Howards like' comment, we need a big, ugly CF for the likes of McG and hopefully BWP to play off. I can't see Euell staying though unfortunately. He is too good for L1 and he will be snapped up by a CCC club. But a solid CF and McG + BWP will get goals.

Let's hope so. Especially given his track record of building a winning squad on bugger all money.

Sky Sports News reported that MLT had confirmed he was involved with them. That's all I'm hoping for an announcement this coming week, now that football matters are done and dusted so no risk of disruption. We need a really good pre-season, which means getting contracts, transfers in and out, a new manager and other such nice stuff sorted ASAP. We can only do this with a new board in place. I fear if this drags on too long all the above will eat into pre-season and the manager will not have enough time to assemble a squad and get them comfortable and used to each other. We have seen the affect this can have many times in the past, with Lowe not wanting to spend that extra months wages to get a player in early.

This Branson rumour makes me laugh. Having just committed to Brawn GP there is no chance of Branson buying Saints.
-
Seconded. Nobody else has gotten as many goals and if he weren't in the team, I don't see where the same level of goals would have come from?
-
Like who? Who do you know that gets more for a shirt sponsorship in the CCC? I think that's about what you'd expect really. A Prem club would get a huge amount more due to the extra TV coverage, magazine coverage, merchandise sales and any other sort of media attention. A CCC club will enjoy a lot less than that, with only a couple of TV appearances and much less chance of coverage from cup competitions in the later stages. League One will in turn be less than that, for the same reasons.

Answered by... I agree that NDA's alone wont stop people declaring their interest publicly, I just hope that they buyers professionalism will do that. We have had enough people at the helm who are desperate to promote themselves and get their name in the press, so I'm really hoping for somebody who wants to get things done in the proper manner before going public. I see no benefit in going public with your interest unless you need the publicity to add weight to your bid.
-
I agree entirely, I want the best bid for the long term future of the club, not the one with the most famous person who we all love at the front of it. I'd be farting rainbows if MLT came back as part of the best bid, but I'm more worried about getting the right buyers.
-
It was a good, honest and very sympathetic article, which almost surprised me. I kind of expected it to be more negative towards the huge money spent in football in general, but it was more focused on how sad it is that such a big club could drop so far.
-
You still would though, wouldn't you?!

I re-read what I posted some time after posting and it sounded harsher than I meant, so I apologise for that and thanks for not reacting badly

Talent is one thing. Consistency, balls, courage, determination are all important too. Surman has shown he has the talent to succeed at CCC level, possibly higher in the future. But he is inconsistent and doesn't show the same level of performance week in, week out. More often than not he has been at best average. But when the going gets tough, when we need players to 'roll up their sleeves' and get stuck in, he goes missing. Consistent performances is what we need to get out of league 1, with the right fighting attitude to match.

Let's pretend for a second that all this is true. Is nobody else worried that even before the club is sold, these buyers are selling players? If I were a serious buyer, I'd be trying to keep all the current squad together until a new manager was appointed. If the owners of the club are dictating who is bought and sold, I'm scared. This should be entirely up to the manager. So either one of three things seems true... 1) These buyers are the sort who want control of the team, transfers etc that should be left up to the manager (ala Lowe) 2) These buyers don't have the cash we need so have to sell players to get by. 3) This rumour is complete bull**** from somebody desperate for attention who wants to be seen as 'in the know' Pick your favourite. I am always happy to eat humble pie if I'm wrong though
