  1. Nice, got it on my IPTV. Missed the goal though! Kit looks good.
  2. Been quite a frustrating watch, some reasonable passages of play but England just seem to shit the bed when they get in sight of the goal and make some horrendous decisions.
  3. Lots of happy little trees.
  4. Yeah not great. The logo is even worse than on the other two shirts as well.
  5. Diallo will be hoping his club have air con in the stadium, can’t be too much fun playing football in 40+ degree heat.
  6. Let’s be honest, it’s a pretty rubbish ‘nickname’. I was hoping for better.
  7. City will likely have provided advice on him so have done the scouting, I can’t see any way there was any sort other involvement though. Saints obviously didn’t go out of their way to keep him or make him feel he was well in the first team plans, and he got an offer to move back to Catalunya.
  8. Agreed. There were definitely quite a few on here suggesting that Romeu’s legs had gone. I didn’t see it that way, just that he had played game after game in a 2 man midfield and needed a break, someone else to come in and provide another option. I can only imagine he knew that Ralph didn’t really have him at the front of his first team plans and once the Girona offer came in it was sadly inevitable that he’d go.
  9. I don’t think Ralph thought Romeu was definitely off, just that he had it in mind that Lavia was his direct replacement. As you say we dabbled with the ridiculous 5 at the back but I just checked, of the 3 pre season games we played before kick off Romeu only started in one of them (Monaco), and didn’t get many minutes at all in the other two games (Watford and Villareal, the latter of which Romeu got 10 minutes at the end). Romeu was sidelined before we reverted back to 4 at the back. We didn’t actually bin off 5 at the back until late in the Leeds game, we were 2-0 down and still had 3 CBs on the pitch and a midfield of JWP, Lavia and Aribo. Bednarek went off for Mara, the comeback to 2-2 happened, and from that we went 4 at the back.
  10. My memory of it is that Romeu wasn’t all that prominent in pre-season and, while he started on opening day with JWP and Lavia, he was then benched for every league game with us until he was sold. Ralph certainly seemed to have a plan that didn’t involve Romeu and I definitely believed that his intention for Lavia was as a direct replacement for Romeu (I seem to recall that at the time I, like a few others, thought we were best off with a midfield 3 that included Romeu).
  11. 🤣 great excuse. The terrible thing is that nobody should be surprised in the slightest at the absolute weaponry going on daily in the Conservative Party. Incompetence, immorality and corruption have become the norm and we’ve got to wait another 18 months before the voting public get a chance to hold them to account for it.
  12. Again, how can it be investigated if the BBC’s response to the family gained no reply? The original email went out a day after the initial complain was made by the family. Their phone call 2-3 weeks later got no reply. The family went to the Sun to spill their story, but you’ll excuse me if I withhold my feelings on them for now until a couple of things get resolved. 1) Why did they happen to go to the Sun in the first place, a paper who are a fucking disgrace but who coincidentally pay the most for stories from the public? 2) Why have the family (allegedly) nowsigned up to TalkTV, the sister TV station of The Sun, in a financial deal that is due to net them a nice financial reward? 3) Why, in the first instance, is all this going on when the original complainant contacted the Sun before they first printed and denied the whole back story? It’s all a bit fishy, and a lot of the facts aren’t there yet. But you seem to be ignoring some of the actual facts that are out there. When you say the case was ‘not properly investigated’, what more did you expect? The BBC tried to get in contact twice and got no response. Or do you think it’s right that, instead of getting back in contact with the bbc, the family went to The Sun instead?
  13. The bbc emailed the family and got no response. They telephoned as well, 2-3 weeks later, also no response. There is no ‘of course the BBC said….’, this is factual and on record. As I said, you could argue that the BBC should have done more than in response to such a major allegation. In mitigation, the BBC get thousands of complaints every year about their presenters, and not far off one a day that are considered ‘major’ (source, The Spectator). So hopefully that gives you a bit more information than it appears you had originally.
  14. Out of interest, have you actually fact checked what you’ve said there? It’s a lot of words to then repeat yourself in saying the BBC did “nothing” when they actually did do something. Twice, in fact. There’s evidence to show that they responded to the family by email and by telephone. You could argue they should have done more than that, but I’d suggest they have met their minimum requirements at the very least.
  15. Struggling to find many players who offered more than a 5 or 6 out of ten from that game. Lavia is a cut above although not his best game but offered so much more when he came on. Alcaraz got the goal, looked pretty rusty but a threat. The wee nipper was very bright but shouldn’t be rushed. Other than that, not much.
  16. He absolutely mullered that at her.
  17. Agreed, haven’t seen much from him to suggest he’s knocking on the door. Great run there from the wee lad.
  18. Alcatraz and Lavia in the middle is a monumental step up.
  19. Beckham did one for England too.
  20. First touch goal, lovely.
  21. ‘Lyanco is getting himself into trouble’. Ffs.
  22. Our logo is annoying me, it ruins a nice shirt. Absolutely no need to have that whopping chunk of white on it.
