That’s not what happened from how I saw it. The linesman was fairly level with with play when the ball was passed, but he carried on running back towards the goal as Mara chased it. As soon as Mara took a touch of the ball the linesman stopped there and raised his flag. They showed a replay during the game which made it look like it was definitely onside. I don’t think the Lino was massively out of position, they just made a poor call.

Sorry, I didn’t realise I had to explain it. You had a whinge about people who said we shouldn’t change a winning team. Edozie started against Everton, he was in that winning team you spoke of. As I said, I’ve not seen one post that says, since the Everton game, that Edozie must start and we shouldn’t change the team. Let alone anyone that did do that, then moaned we didn’t start Orsic or Alcatraz. Maybe I don’t read the forum as much as you, so perhaps you can help out a wab like me, and just point me in the direction of just one post that says we shouldn’t change a winning side. It seems to have got you a bit rattled, hence your post about it, so there must be a few to choose from. Thanks.

Fair enough, didn’t see that. Personally I thought the elbow in itself was enough to convince a ref (harsh, but can understand why it might be given), but if he’s trod on his foot as well and it’s given for that then so be it.

He just doesn’t seem to make many saves. Ok, todays was a tough one, but we’ve had keepers before who might have saved that. I could almost get on board with the odd howler if he was otherwise exceptional, but he just doesn’t seem to be very good. Also his decision making is all over the place, he looked an absolute mess in the first half. How far we’ve fallen that AMc is being suggested to replace him. Pompey fans said about Bazunu that he makes mistakes but is an excellent shot stopper. I just don’t see that, he looks a bag of nerves and doesn’t have a presence.

It was a harsh call but you can see why it was given, Elmo leant into his back with his elbow, the defender made the most of it. Once it went to var it was always going to be given.

Quite worrying really. We’ve signed 10 players this season. 1 is injured, 1 didn’t make the match day 20, 4 others were on the bench. Our two latest signings, and therefore you’d have hoped our real hopes of improvement, spent almost all of the game on the bench, Orsic came on with 6 minutes to go, Alcatraz nothing. Serve shite up like that and we’re going down with a whimper.
