  1. Why are you discounting a separate independent adjudication that was held prior to the court case from any evidence? That adjudication found in favour of the contractor. The club still refused to pay, so it ended it court, where the club then offered no defence of their actions. Now, if you wish to carry on and say there's no evidence either way, then sorry Frank but I'm going to have to disagree; there quite clearly is. There was a separate adjudication, which found in favour of the contractor and against the club. If you still choose to disbelieve in that as evidence, well, that's of course your remit. I'd just perhaps suggest that you shouldn't expect a great amount of people to go along with your viewpoint.
  2. The FL haven't done this. Not yet. They have "unresolved answers" to criteria they put towards Portpin. The likelihood is of course that Portpin won't pass the Owners' test; but being as PKF have not actually put them forwards as bidders to the FL, they haven't failed as of now (which is why their bid is "suspended" and not cancelled).
  3. There's photographic evidence of pappy wearing it to St. Mary's.
  4. Just a shame he missed a trick by neglecting to put our de facto away kit (yellow one) on sale. Silly Nik Nak.
  5. Depends who made the decision on it, really
  6. In fairness, you'd be a complete idiot not to have any of them. Honest.
  7. I think you're starting to lose it, young Charles.
  8. They ran an article (written by David Bull) on the OS. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/eric-day-an-appreciation-485587.aspx?pageView=full#anchored It lists the funeral time and date; so one would hope/assume the club will do the right thing.
  9. Many may not like the all red, but in terms of a sales concept you've got to take your hat off to the club. Having a stripey shirt year on year isn't likely to sell as well; so they've broken that up by having first the sash (which, as stated, could have sold many more had they not sold out) and now this concept. Expect the stripes to return next year to much popular acclaim, then something different again (a Rank Xerox type effort would be good). Although I do quetion how far back the sales "history" goes; one could perhaps assume only to 2009.
  10. We lose. In almost every single position. Jack Cork and Gaston Ramirez might add some competition to their first choice lineup.
  11. 1st December for me. If its going up its going up for a decent amount of time. Usually comes down the day after Boxing Day.
  12. Ha ha ha. I just had to dredge up that thread for the lols. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?22888-Saints-V-England&highlight=england
  13. Put down the crack pipe, Dave.
  14. Must be. So it doesn't include the ground. A minor piffle.
  15. No, I'm sure its a separate property developer that's fronting up the cash to buy the ground. Not one of the HNW.
  16. I always thought that I was pretty good at maths, but this whole Pompey situation has got me flummoxed. We know that the ground is being bought by one of the Property Developers; the current "offer" is £2.75M. We know that there are a number of "High Net Worth" individuals chucking some money in; not sure on the exact amount, rumoured anywhere between £1M and £2M. And we know that the PDT have around 2,000 pledges which they hope to convert, at £1,000 a go. Now, to me, that suggests a total bid price of between £5.75M and £6.75M, with the PDT pledges contributing up to £2M. However, the PDT are claiming that they only need around 1,800 or so pledges converted to own 51%. Something just isn't quite adding up for me here. I know Pompey maths tend to be different to, well, the real world; but I must be missing something. Is the purchase price not included in these calculations? Or are the HNW lot part of the PDT? In either case; suggesting that they'll have 51% fan ownership seems like a bit of a stretch. At least one of the HNW lot isn't even a Pompey fan.
  17. Probably exactly as it used to happen when we were last in the PL. The first allocation of tickets is sale or return; anything after that is on guaranteed sale (i.e. the away club have to pay for every seat whether they sell them or not). Probably the same reason why we've only taken the original allocation of 2,000 for Liverpool away.
  18. *clicks* *clicks* *clicks*
  19. Tadanari Lee back from injury?
  20. That's around a 90% success rate from pledge to full payment, then. Optimistic??
  21. As I pointed out to another poster earlier; I was responding to comments from people within this thread, not to the premise of it being here. The photo (and the thread in general) is of course most welcome.
  22. You could probably add to that and say that it is the duty of the press to question an organisation when they consider an injustice has occured, and bring them to a higher account. I still find it so surprising that many people still expect the local paper to pander to the football's club every whim despite having been completely ostracised by them and treated with utter contempt.
  23. More worried than what, exactly? Than writing an opinion piece which a few precious souls are going to get upset about? If you can find a quote from the manager that suggest we play 4231 then fair play; Nigel Adkins has called it 433 all season long, despite the fact it has indeed been more like a 4231 (except when we played 442). First game of the season against Man City we had Ward-Prowse and Schneiderlin playing as the 2, Lallana as the other more advanced central midfielder. If you can point out the glaring difference between that formation and Saturday's, I guess I'd appreciate it. About the only time we've started with a true 4-3-3 was against Man United and Arsenal.
  24. This new ticket manager is (another) new one, but he does seem to know what he's doing and this isn't the first instance that has come about where his customer service skills have come to the fore. Not before time, perhaps, but good to see something of a change.
