Villa's lowest gate this season is almost as low as ours; 28,692 against Reading. Their highest; 40,538 against Man Utd.

Neil Allen@pn_neil_allen When my colleague @pn_Rory_McKeown asked to speak to Portpin they declined to comment. Shame. #Pompey Yes Neil, I can't believe they refused to speak to a pair of journalists who have displayed no element of objectivity in the past 12 months, and whipped up a frenzy of frothing rage against Portpin's charge over the ground and their intent to gain what they deem as a fair return from their investment.

It is quite interesting (well I think it is anyway, others probably don't) how much disparity there is between the most popular games and the least popular one. This game, Man Utd and Spurs all sold out at least 2 weeks prior to kick off. Yet Fulham (28K), Norwich and Fulham (just over 29K) having significant areas unsold. Its a bit of a guess but against the top sides we could perhaps sell at least 38,000 tickets, which is 10,000 more than the least popular games. I wonder if other clubs our size and bigger experience that sort of disparity.

You assume they were looking in the first place. They're all for due diligence, but only when it suits. The anyone but Chainrai brigade were happy to wave this one through without so much as a break of sweat from the investigative brow of Micah Hall. What a shame that the research done on here at the time was (yet again) ignored and put down as the work of ignorant facking scummahs.

This video is pretty good. The pendulum one looks good; the other two, less so.

You have to take your hat off to Trevor Birch and his PKF flunkies on £500 per hour. It would take an enormous effort to make the PDT bid look any more disaorganised and amateurish than it already does. And yet Tricky Trev has achieved just that in just 5 minutes in court! Hats off Trev. £3M in fees and still counting, fantastic work. And supposedly asking for a 28 day adjournment; thus meaning Pompey enter the transfer window unable to purchase anyone, and unable to offer anything more than 1 month contracts (with the uncertainty of the PDT actually never taking over). Although to be fair, given their players' disatrous performances today despite their over-inflated pay packets, you'd have to wonder which other club would be mental enough to pay that much for overpriced cr*p. So they may just be alright in that regard!

I love it when pap gets the bit between his teeth! To be fair pap, you really should be getting batted out of the park on this one, what with the sheer weight of available evidence, conjecture, photographs, video and whatever else that suggest the moon landings did indeed happen. But I feel Charlie and his pals are dropping the ball far too often and thereby weakening an otherwise very strong argument.

Apparently the club have decided that, unless they can wear the full white (i.e. including white shorts and socks) then it won't be worn at all. Chelsea wear white socks so we'd definitely have to change there. Villa have white shorts which might require a change. And West Ham have white shorts so might have required a change. Against Norwich its possible; although the contrast of yellow v white may not be enough and the ref might ask for the home strip to be worn.
-
Why would we give out 3,000 more tickets than we had to? Other clubs know well enough that its a bad idea to do so (even most of those who can't fill their large grounds).

The PDT not coming out too healthily from all this over on POL.

I don't need asking twice!! Back in a few minutes.....

Portpin aren't even vying for the club to be sold to them; they're happy for Gulifoyle to continue the administration until the end of the season and find a buyer in that time. So the PDT can't even pull the "Portpin won't pass the Owners & Directors Test" card; with Chinny's new stance, he doesn't have to. Chinny really is a wily old fox! "My position is secured; I will get my money back".
-
The request has been made; its up to the judge to decide to grant it, surely?
-
And perhaps a pertinent point from that: There is a late development this evening that the solicitors acting on behalf of the administrators, PKF have requested an adjournment as they have a major problem with their case.
-
Someone on POL has typed up what Brendan Guilfoyle told SSN.
-
From POL:
-
Sorry, I'm confused. I've got it wrong that an adjournment and a settlement are entirely different things? A settlement cannot happen until there is adjournment; is that what you're saying?
-
Ah ok. Is there a link for that, Charlie?

Just watching the programme on C5+1. It got to the bit about the crosshairs in photos (and I'd seen this issue before) whereby the astronauts are supposed to be behind the crosshairs which are there to line up the cameras; but in 4 or 5 shots there is obvious photo manipulation and the crosshairs appear (in places) behind certain images and astronauts. What's the answer to that one? There's no way those photos could have been taken as they appear without photographic manipulation.
-
Yes, but an adjournment and a settlement are two different and entirely separate things. The settlement happens in the background, which then leads to an adjournment when both parties agree there is no need to go to court. F*ck it; I'm plugging in to POL for updates.
-
Well that's a great answer. For me; I am and always have been 99% sure that the moon landings actually happened. But of course 1% of me is a cynic. As you rightly point out though; there is no evidence that can put to bed the argument forever. And there are enough people who were associated with the project in the first place that don't believe to add fuel to the fire. Space and stuff is great, isn't it??!!!
-
According to POL the lawyers know nothing about it, PKF have announced the adjournment. Despite my previous post, I'm actually starting to think that Chinny has pulled out. If he goes to court and loses he has to pay court costs for the other side; if he pulls out Tricky Trev will just accept the £2.75M offer and take the court costs and his excessive fees from whats left of the (parachute payments) cash in the bank.
-
The thing is; he's instructed lawyers and they must have undertaken a significant amount of (paid) research just to get this far. And they have a formal offer from the PDT for £2.75M. Would a valuation from the court change that offer? Don't know, but it seems like Birch is going to court to make Portpin accept the PDT's offer, not a random valuation that the court may choose to pick. Portpin wanted an adjournment (and were previously denied one according to POL) so, while it seems the likeliest cause, I wouldn't be too quick to assume that its a Portpin withdrawal that has caused this.
-
They also built a 42,000 seater stadium and rapidly increased it to 49,000. So we shouldn't rule that out either.

He is one though. Great musician, mind.
