A bit of a shame in my opinion that there was an accusation from the Eastleigh chairman at the time that SFC had gone back on an agreement between Saints and Eastleigh, which (from the Eastleigh chairman's point of view) led to the club not being able to monetarily capitalise as much as it had previously expected to on the previous agreement.

Slightly humourous that the term "airport stealers" is prevalent; yet their own football club itself is "stolen" from Swaythling, and debatably not within the true confines of Eastleigh. Still, I don't mind Eastleigh. Good to have seen them rise through the ranks, and a bit of a shame we stitched them up in previous years following the Aaron Martin deal, so its nice that's being put to rights. I may well pop along to one of these games.

What, the meeting between Cortese and Adkins? The shift in formation and tactics from that "meeting"; the subsequent taking away of the players. No, not so much. Perhaps not to the degrees previously suggested, but I believed at the time and still do believe that there's something in it. Plus I've heard from other sources that there was, and that Nigel Adkins is under less influence from above than before (think LR rather than NC). And despite the illusion to the conrary, Barton is a hell of a lot more intelligent than his persona would otherwise suggest.

My mate does this all the time; if we visit different countries on holiday he'll instantly develop the local accent into his speech of English. And he does it entirely sub-consciously. It's really embarrassing, but he just can't stop himself doing it.
