  1. Well in that case I'm sorry my dismissal of Ron's throwaway comment caused you so much distress. Edit: smileywink
  2. Doesn't sound good, either. "Just swelling atm" could mean anything at all.
  3. I don't know Tim. You tell me. I don't even know what you're asking.
  4. Yes, but are there any on here?? Right now?? Hysterical accusations are a complete nonsense.
  5. Dear me. Who was actually in danger of calling the Samaritans? Or did you make it up?
  6. Exactly this. Its a financial plan based on completely hollow assumptions and projections, mathematics which just don't stack up. It's embarrassing that something so poorly conceived is given such credibility. And the Few lap it up, because its "theirs", despite the likelihood that it could turn out to be the most insolvent yet of all of their intrepid recent adventures into the financial mire. They really, really don't get it.
  7. He just interviewed Sally Pearson and bowed out with "well done Sarah". F*ck me, get rid. He's a bumbling embarrassing idiot.
  8. I don't know about the mass hysteria you're clearly making up, but it'll be thoroughly disappointing if we can't turn this around. Especially given our pre-season last year and how that translated into a running start from the first kick off of the league season.
  9. This bell-end interviewer trackside for the BBC is utterly f*cking awful. Its been a fairly slick production all round by the Beeb, but this guy just has amateur hour all about him, he genuinely seems to p*ss people off with his inane, stuttering and stumbling questions.
  10. There's all sorts to encourage terror from that report. 11500 average attendance (without enormous discounting) will be supremely difficult for them in League 1. So will 12500 in year 2. More so 13500 in League 3  The amounts allowed for football creditors (that Tricky Trev is happily continually agreeing while the bill adds up and up and up) just don't stack up from what the (dis)Trust can afford to pay. Does the report even allow for payment of the fees of the administrators?! Does it give Channers what he wants for Fratton Park?! It's a report based purely on fabrication, and is a complete and utter wish list. It is a nonsense, a pipe dream. In short, and predictably,:lol::lol:
  11. I don't understand your logic on the amount of games things. Butland is being talked about in terms of multi-millions. A club the size of Saints don't typically buy someone like that for them to sit on the bench. So surely it should be the same for Gazza, no? Answer this. If we bought Jack Butland for £6M (who is 1 year younger than Gazza) would you expect us to buy another keeper so that Butland could be number 3?
  12. This is entirely true. Moz was truly a spectatcular musician, but his star has faded and nowadays he's nothing short of an angry, old-fashioned and extreme political activist.
  13. Didn't know that, I remember her track gold in the Worlds before Beijing. Just reading her Wiki, says she trained at the same BMX course as Jamie Staff.
  14. I've just notice Dune has been b-anned (again). What for this time?
  15. Good post Mike. Although I think you meant Craig Brown, not Craig Burley. Maybe VectisSaint could tell us all how your team would fare in League 1. I'll list it again. GK: McGregor RB: Hutton LB: Fox CB: Caldwell CB: Mulgrew RM: Morrison LM: Phillips CM: Adam CM: Dorrans ST: Naismith ST: Rhodes How about it Vectis. Where would that team finish in League 1? What would be the extent of their "struggle"? Especially if they got Steven Fletcher and Darren Fletcher back, one of whom is being touted for around £10M at the moment due to 3 years of scoring decent amounts at Premier League level and one who is (when fit) a starter for Manchester United.
  16. Could still go one gold better with the BMX to come! Shanaze Read used to ride track before switching, and is favourite.
  17. Massively successful, articulate, gracious and so, so hard working. Brilliant for youngsters to have role models like that for a change. Until the football season begins anyway....
  18. Sir Chris Hoy Such an emotional time and can still be such a role model in what he says; absolute class there with Sir Steve Redgrave. What a games.
  19. Fair decision unfortunately, Meares would have won without VP going outside her lane, she looked absolutely rapid up to that. Predict a 2-0 here, Meares looks too good
  20. They need to actually have some money in order to be able to spend it. They don't have anything. The bank account will be pretty much empty; season ticket money getting released on a match by match basis. And an owner who will have lost millions of pounds off the value of what he is claimed he is owed. Getting the high wage earners off the books is the first step in Chainrai running the club on a shoestring, plundering the parachute payments and spending only the very bare minimum for transfers (free) and wages.
  21. I could only see it working in an attempt to cut out the relentless criticism and abuse of referees by players. 10 minutes in the bin for shouting at the ref or linesman wouldn't be the worst thing in the world, and might get these pampered f*ckwits to actually think about what they're doing. Unfortunately thats something in the game which has permeated to all levels; a lad I used to play with was scouted by a Wessex League side and the manager said he was especially impressed with the way he "controlled the ref", i.e. constantly in his ear whinging. Players are now encouraged by the manager to get in the ref's ear and put the officials under pressure. Its a very sad state that its been allowed to happen.
  22. After watching him on Saturday I think Stephens still has an awful lot of development before he can be considered an option. His mistake let in SEB for what should have been a goal, and after that he seemed to lose his head a bit with some basic errors and misplaced passes. Looks like he needs another year or two of Development Squad to bulk out a bit and get much more confident, he looked very scared of making a mistake. Still a good prospect though. Shaw on the other hand looks like he may well be able to make the step up fairly quickly.
  23. We've got some promising youngsters, but that team choice would get absolutely rinsed in the Premier League.
  24. Course he did; apologies, my bad
