I’d be happy for that in red and white, it would be very 1889 (and likely look better than the overly baggy tops worn at the last game at the Dell). My absolute favourite would be a proper red and white half and half, Southampton St. Mary’s style. Won’t be that though, Hummel Denmark is the closest we’ve ever got to that. This got mocked up a year or two ago and i think looks quite splendid.

Yep, I’ve read that too, Schofield is/was a patron and visited regularly as it was based locally. It definitely seems that there’s a reasonable possibility that Schofield knew, or at least met, McGreevey from a very young age. It also seems to be the case that Schofield followed him on Twitter just after he turned 15. The rest is fill in the blanks. But wait until the enquiry. Or something.

I think you’re right, he clearly doesn’t understand. Matthew McGreevey didn’t start working for itv until he was 18, so any “evidence” that this enquiry may find will likely not include anything before that time. So, if Schofield had a relationship with him beforehand (and what the extent of that relationship was) shouldn’t form any part of this enquiry.

The enquiry isn’t into Schofield. You know this, surely? The whole point is to investigate ITV itself, into how ITV handled the whole thing starting from how and when they first heard about the allegations and rumours right up to the point when it was confirmed. They’re likely not going to be investigating in depth now and when Schofield met McGreevey, it’s based on ITV’s safeguarding protocols once they were both under their charge. So I’m not sure what “evidence” you’re expecting to come out if this enquiry, but based on what you’ve typed you’re not gonna get what you’re pushing for as that’s not the scope.

What’s interesting is that the Premier League’s official website still lists Saints, Leeds and Leicester amongst their clubs, and don’t include the promoted sides. https://www.premierleague.com/clubs On the flip side….while Wikipedia shouldn’t be considered gospel, the page for all 6 clubs promoted to or relegated from the Premier League show their ‘league’ as where they’ll play next season. It would be a hell of a thing to keep him. Sadly I think his ‘preference’ will be tested if/when his pay decrease kicks in and there’s offers to up his wages elsewhere.

I can get to 10 leaving very easily. KWP, JWP, Lavia, ABK, Salisu will be the most in demand. AMN, Elmo, Big Willy and Theo are out of contract. Already hearing tales about Orsic being out the door, plus Perraud and Diallo having deals lined up. There’s 12, plus there’s others like DCC, Adams, Alcaraz and Bednarek who could quite feasibly be moved on. This squad is getting absolutely gutted.
