I haven't put a bet on since last season, I'm trying to be good. But an insurance bet would be tempting here...
-
That requires one Mr Oriel Romeu Vidal. Hopefully.
-
I'd be more comfortable with a 3 goal cushion Saints...
-
I'm lurking mostly today as I'm busy at work but you can't knock that half time score. Surely Brum will show more in the second half...

Better the devil you know? You can't say he didn't get some results recently, just once again we seem to be wedded to a manager that plays 3 CBs. Hopefully we continue to see an upturn in performances but failure to get promoted this season won't fully be his fault. I hope he starts his full management career with a win tomorrow.

Agree with the first two, but unless something has changed, Charles may be out until the new year according to the reports when he got injured. We'll see. Downes has a few knockers this season but he's still a good option for us and we can all see how much difference Scienza makes to us. Another Scienza-type signing in January would be nice.

Tough game next, it’s how we bounce back that will be a measure of how good an option Tonda is going forwards. Another abject performance against Brum and maybe he isn’t the messiah. Win and it shows he can change it up. It also highlights how important Scienza is to us.

A week until Brum. Work to be done.

Gutting.

A draw today would be a good result. I thought this before the game. Tonda, make it so.

That's game over.

Rom on is good. Now I'd like to see Welington and Matsuki on. Attack is the best form of defence and all that...
-
Get Rom on! Get Rom on! 😝
-
Damn. They'll fancy this now. Come on Saints.

Come on Saints, a clean sheet today and thus the 3 points would be massive. Tonda needs to make good subs to earn his potential crust.

Scores are largely favourable for Saints today (and last night) League-wise. Would be nice to get out shiz together and win this. Big chance for Eckert to show if he has the skill to change things. A draw would still be a decent result though. Coventry now winning. Unsurprising.

The missus is treating me to a new laptop for Christmas, I sat on the old one and broke it back in 2021 and haven't had one since so I haven't played the desktop version of FM for years (last one I owned was 2019) so I'll be seeing the new game through fresh eyes on Christmas Day. Since then I've been playing FM22 and 23 Touch versions on the iPad and that's getting repetitive. I have been watching the FM community on Youtube who seem quite scathing of the new game, but I'm still looking forward to it.

I did the Bermondsey Beer Mile in August, because of poor forward planning it fell on a Millwall home game (I think it was their Boro defeat). I got the shits at bar number 7 and had to use a god awful toilet. I blame Millwall for no reason whatsoever. I want revenge. Millwall 0 - Saints 5.
-
Wednesday ran Millwall close tonight, they were rescued by their top scorer. We have more quality, let's hope we can show it again on Saturday.

Is he injured? I know there are players ahead of him bang in form right now but if he's not injured I'm surprised he's not even getting on the bench. Loan in January?

Which current squad member will play in the next world cup.

Shea Charles, Ryan Manning or Gavin Bazunu are the obvious guesses if either of the Irelands qualify. Ironically the most 'out of form' player we have will be the most likely to go currently (based on the fact USA are already guaranteed) - Downs. -
You don't see a lot of right footed right wingers these days, more the "cut in and shoot on the left foot" types, but I agree he suits the position and the style so much - and even then isn't afraid to cut in when needed. Excellent performance today. I agree though, a rangy striker instead of AA that could get in on the end of the crosses would improve us, although AA has been good lately in the role Tonda has given him.

Tonda was given three games so we'll probably know more on Sunday as to whether he has the gig. After the last 4 games I wouldn't think many fans would be upset. OK, we have good players on paper, but so did Still and Tonda has got a tune out of them. Fellows is clicking, Scienza is clicking, AA is linking up well with them and even Azaz has started banging goals in. I won't go on about not liking 3 CBs, I don't, but even then Tonda has got them playing in such a way that they don't look like muffing up every minute - some of the bodies on the line defending early in the first half today was exceptional. Shit, even Baz pulled off a good save. Would I like someone more experienced in? Maybe, it depends who it is, but you can't dismiss what Tonda has done so far is excellent. Everyone has to start somewhere, and Tonda seems to fit. He speaks well too. There will be sterner tests to come, and it is how he deals with those, but we can't win every game and right now, the first team is playing fluid exciting football. I love the fact we attempting Through Balls. I'm a big fan of a through ball. We knock SR for a lot, and rightly so at times, but some of the summer transfers we made have been the business. Jander is excellent too. Now they need to get the managerial appointment right - and Tonda has done his chances the world of good.
