I appreciate the idea of sticking by the players who got you promoted but we were hardly pulling up trees last year - we largely scraped through to promotion. Thankfully with Ugochukwu and Fernandes fully integrated, we won't have to rely on the others that much. Still work to do in the transfer window and... Russ - please don't play 3 CBs at home against the likes of Forest. Thanks.

I do think we will improve as the season goes on and we find our feet and our new signings bed in - I also think that survival may be possible because of other crap teams. But this home loss against an iffy Forest side does already hurt a bit.

Stream has gone. I'm going to say definitively, that's probably a good thing. I can't see us getting back into this unless someone scores a worldy or a penalty.

Thankfully when we do get Fernandes and Lesley up to speed, they won't be playing much. We hope.

He runs a lot, he can finish but he lacks a top footballing brain. There's more than an echo of Shane Long there. Put AA alongside Mane, Tadic and Pelle and he would do well, much as Longy did. AA will have his part to play this season but he won't get more than 10 goals if he's lucky and the new signings prove to be better than what we had.

Definitely need a change at half time. We don't need 3 CBs against a team like Forest.

It's refreshing not to see the away fans stinking out the Northam corner. Not so easy to see them on TV now.

Next Friday at 11:01pm, if we still have Kyle, I'll be delighted even if he doesn't sign the contract. Makes a difference to how we play.

That's a decent move for Shea in a season he wasn't going to get much of a look in for us, playing for Rohl at a club with an upwardly outlook. The big price tag was never his fault and it was a mad punt from us to put so much money down on a player with almost no experience after we'd just been relegated. I have to say a couple of times I saw him early last season and it looked like the game was just passing him by but he did get a bit better by the end of the season. It doesn't help that Russ didn't trust him when Flynn got injured and instead was playing Will out of position. I wish him all the best and hope he comes back a better player for it - if we do go down we'll need him.
