Bring Christoph Klarer home. 😁 CB wise I do think we are probably Ok for the Championship with what we have, even if THB leaves we'll have Bednarek, Stephens, Wood and Edwards but I'd still like us to bring one more in, especially if the new manager still wants to play 3 CBs (sigh). I can't see THB here next season, even with the season he's had, the England cap and potential for making money from him will mean SR recouping at least his transfer fee if not more, and I think he'll have his suitors. I'd be surprised if we cashed in on Jan, unless he wants to go, but you never know. One of the issues is we are stuck between needing a rebuild and knowing what we have is probably good enough (in most areas) to get us promoted. I think AA comes back but I wouldn't want to rely on him getting the 30 goal involvements he got last time, that burden needs to be spread more around the team. I wouldn't want to be our next manager, that's for sure.

He's a good Championship standard CB. As is THB, Jack etc. Annoying though it is, I'd keep them for next season on the proviso we fuck them off if we get promoted. The same can be said for most of our other chaff as well. All decent enough for the Championship, shite in the Prem.

Yeah they'll be best suited than any of us 3 we're this season, they have a half decent spine for one and if they keep hold of Gnonto and James they have a bit of attacking nous. Depends on their transfer activity. I do think it will be very difficult now for any promoted side to survive in the Prem. Forest did it by signing an entire new team and hoping some came good (which they did). Saints need to not just sign players this summer that can get us promoted but have one eye on them playing for us in the Prem. That, and hoping we can keep hold of the likes of Fernandes.

I fell asleep about 4.15pm for 3 hours and just woke to this news. Well done Lesley! Equalling the Derby record at least means we're not THE worst team in Prem history so that should give us some confidence. I might even watch that programme that they've apparently been showing on a Saturday night for months... Match of the... Something. Supposed to have a good theme tune. Aaron Ramsdale - will help us concede fewer goals. Flynn Downes and THB - both ready to make the Prem step up. Cameron Archer will really bang the goals in. Mateus Fernandes - never heard of him, will probably be crap like Juanmi Ben Brereton Díaz - Another goalscorer who will inspire us to score tons of goals Yukinari Sugawara - Hopefully as good as KWP, will be a £50 million player next summer. Ronnie Edwards - will cement his position in our defence this season. Nathan Wood - he won't get a game all season, no way will we ever rely on him in the Prem. Adam Lallana - will roll back the years and inspire us to dizzy heights. Charlie Taylor - that's the left back slot sorted all season. Ryan Fraser - loads of game time and assists for this wizard Maxwel Cornet - proven talent, can fight Edozie and AA for a first team spot. Lesley Ugochukwu - highly rated DM - will be a rock this season. What could go wrong eh? 😁

Slavisa Jokanovic. Fits perfectly, Serbian, Championship promotions to his name, currently unemployed and... that's all I know about him. 😁

Sugawara for me. We already had KWP and Breezy, we needed strength in other areas of the pitch more. Fully agree with others about Lallana though. That was a signing along the lines of Walcott. Pretty much all the signings we made seem to have been with one eye on us going back to the Championship. Sugawara must have been signed with one eye on losing KWP at the end of the contract. Punts that did not pay off bar Fernandes. I still think Archer might cook next season if we keep him. Edwards and Wood will play parts too. Probably Welington too. Not sure about the rest.
