Echo signing headline: Saints Find Their Flynnspiration!
  2. Overall across the tournament it was a poor England showing but with a few individual moments of brilliance. The Semi was probably our best performance but even that relied on a moment of brilliance from Watkins to win it at the death. For me Southgate leaving is the right decision, as a bloke he's OK but as a manager he's negative and reactive. With this team we should be dominating teams not sitting back and hoping for a magical goal from somewhere. Hopefully the new manager is more adventurous.

    Flynn Downes

It's not often a transfer is almost universally praised by the fans of both parties but Downes appears to be it. We get a midfield key cog for money that is probably a decent amount for him, they sell a squad player for a profit. In fact on KUMB the only negative mention is that they thought they'd get more for him.
  4. Snow > Snowflake > Flake > Chocolate > Galaxy > LA Galaxy > Welcome home Maya Yoshida.
  5. We need a first choice - not a back up. We have Ross (who knows if he'll adapt to the Prem after so long out, let alone whether he'll be fit long term), AA (who is an option but a) plays better wider and b) didn't show much on his last Prem stint), Mara (who offers us very little) and Ballard (assume he'll go out on loan). Back ups we have - it's a first choice we need, even if Braithwaite is a free agent.
  6. Charly only signed a new 5 year contract in October of last year so I definitely think he is in our long term planning. Unless a bigger club comes in and pays us what we want for him, I see him staying. And I'd be glad of that too, because I like him and I think he offers us something we don't otherwise have in the squad.
  7. Also as good as Lamal is, and will become, kudos to De La Fuente for having the balls to play a 16 year old from the start. He's lit up this tournament.
  8. One good thing to come out of the tournament is that Guehi will now be a first choice CB and we will not have to see Maguire shoehorned in there ever again. Also Mainoo seems to be answering questions about who partners Rice going forwards.
  9. To be fair, I rate Gordon Strachan.
  10. Spain best team all tournament. 2 years - we go again.
  11. Not Nice.
  12. Nice.
  13. Right back. Watkins coming on?
  14. Come on England ffs. Being torn a new butthole currently.
  15. Southgate has to react quicker with the subs today. Pace needed up front.
  16. Bollocks. It ain't coming home?
  17. And now booked.
  18. Stuck at work again for this match - treating my staff to pizza to keep them happy. Head says Spain will win this as the most deserving team through the tournament in terms of performance, but I just think England have been getting better as the tournament has gone on with the semi being our best performance and so my heart says a historic England win. We CAN win... now we have to prove it.

  20. Welcome Yuki. I hope you settle in quickly and become a success in the post KWP era.
  21. Can someone fit his name in around this - I feel it would fit.
  22. Shame - I saw him a bit pre-injury and he looked really promising. That injury really screwed him. I really hope he gets to play regularly and can shoot his way back up the leagues.
  23. Wings > Paul McCartney > Was in a band with George Harrison > Harrison Reed. I'm getting good at this.
  24. When you factor in we largely went for an entire Championship season without a decent striker because we spent £6/7 million or whatever it was on one that had been injured for 8 months prior, when that Charles money could have brought in one that was fit and ready, beggars belief really but that may have been the hangover from the buy promise/sell high method of doing things that we had because of the Tino/Lavia deals. Thankfully it didn't cost us ultimately and we got back to the Prem first time of asking...but it could've.
  25. I do think we'll make 2 or 3 big money signings (big money for us not big money for the Premier League) but it does seem that we're currently targeting frees and low £million players over more expensive signings. Perhaps they're just the easier ones to get done but we'd signing Edwards before there was even really any noise about it - especially as other clubs were supposedly interested in him. Shea may yet become a £15 million player but it was definitely a lot of money to spend on potential especially as we were a Championship-bound side.
