Don't hate the team but we'll still lose. Progress will be not shooting ourselves in the foot all game. For once I'd take a defeat purely because the other team score cracking goals, not because we gift them goals. That said, I still think we'll make our usual mistake so I'm going for minute 19. But it's Christmas, stranger things have happened.

The only manager I've ever really wanted gone before was Pellegrino but with Russ I'll be happier with his sacking than with anyone else. I don't hate his philosophy, he's just doing it with the wrong team, the wrong players and he's too egotistical and stubborn to change his ways to best suit us. Who for? I don't even care, I will welcome the change.

We’ll play short, intricate passes when the wind is behind us and long ball would be better, then punt the ball long when we’re facing the wind. It’s the Russ way to do things backwards. I half expect a comical own goal by somebody today.

It's like our players are dealt a handicap before a ball is even kicked. We actually start games now wondering what minute will it be when we first shoot ourselves in the foot with the passing out from the back.
