This, and Sessegnon is probably joining Palace and Johnson is expected to join Ipswich.

Surprised about Rodon as he'd be back in the Championship for another long, hard slog but maybe he's just happy at Leeds and TBF they're probably going up next season. I thought Gray was going to Brentford but obviously Spurs are a bigger club. I would have liked Rodon , tall, good age, had a great season at Leeds but hopefully the club will have other players in their sights.

I figured Bellingham's inclusion was such a no-brainer I didn't even need to include it. 😁 Ok I got distracted when writing that and effed up...

Ironically my team wouldn't be much different to the current starting line up despite everything but I would drop Foden who I think has been largely ineffective all tournament. Toney made a case for there to be a second striker alongside Kane but personally I think Gordon, Eze or Palmer should be in. Of those three it's a tough call but possibly Palmer on the right and switch Saka to the left (or have them fluidly switching sides). Dunk in for Guehi. Shaw in for Tripper IF fit. I saw enough of Mainoo to keep playing him although I think after he was booked he lost some of his effectiveness but I did like his direct runs. Pickford Walker Stones Dunk Trippier/Shaw Mainoo Rice Palmer Bellingham! Kane Saka

Nathan Tella. Oh wait, that was Burnley. 😀

At the prices we're likely to be paying, pretty much all striker signings will be a gamble whether it be Broja or Delap. Ings has some proven pedigree but is knocking on a bit and has limited success in recent seasons. Would we rather sign a foreign striker who has been banging them in? Well Onuachu scored 85 goals in 2 and a half seasons before joining us and that didn't work either. Personally I think Onuachu could have worked in a different system or with someone that believed him but it didn't. Broja has proved very little (although he's obviously got something about him), Delap has proved very little and Ings is probably past it. Personally I'd rather take a punt on someone like Miovski who has been banging them in for Aberdeen for the last couple of seasons as he is both proven to be a goalscorer and at a good age and price.

I read that as 'strap on' and got worried.

We obviously feel there's a very good chance we can get him. I think there will be interest from elsewhere but hopefully we can get this done.

Teams like Forest and Everton who have been in financial poop in the last year or two - both splashing the cash on players. Its almost as if they think the points deductions are worth it as long as you strengthen your squad.

To be fair to Georgia they've been good on the counter attack but Spain are just too good. Potential winners here IMO. OK their striking option could be better than Morata but Williams and Lamal have been excellent and then there's Rodri and Pedri.
-
Georgia starting to look a bit knackered here. Looks like Spain's second goal has killed the game.

Newcastle are also selling two of their youngsters for 70 million, Anderson to Forest and Minteh to Brighton. That's outrageous money for Newcastle for a youngster that has never played for them and a youngster that had never really done much.
-
I believe they're open to offers for Gallagher and Casadei... something to do with PSR and selling your home grown talents because that's like making free money or something.
-
This Georgian keeper has to be in with a shout for Team of the tournament... Ah... 1-1
-
On paper Portugal's squad looks excellent. They need to stop relying on a 39 year old Ronaldo and 41 year old Pepe. I've also never particularly rated Martinez after wasting the Belgian golden generation

Change of Avatar. Gone from Mr Bean to Gareth Southgate in honour of England's genius boss.
-
Spain are my tip to win the thing so that shows what I know, thus far.
-
Ok was an own goal but the cross was great!
-
What a goal Georgia! Great cross

Spain's play compared to England's is chalk and cheese. Quick, incisive, look to get the ball forwards. I don't know much about Spain's manager but he sure looks like Stanley Tucci.

What a year it could be for Rishi. Saints promoted, England win the Euros... umm... In Sport. What a year for Rishi, sports-wise.

^ I've found Gareth Southgate...
-
Foden needs to be dropped. Palmer was better when he came on. Even Toney and Eze made a difference.
-
Depends if it means Southgate sticks around for the WC! 😁 We all want the trophy but it'd be nice to do it without making us poo our pants.

Wait was that Jimmi Floyd Hasselbaink? I didn't know he was one of our coaches!
