  1. Linked with Leicester and Wednesday are bonkers so it's a possible.
  2. It's our year to win this Cup. We start at our near namesake Northampton Town at Sixfields on Tuesday at 19.45hrs. I've never been to Northampton but I hear it's North of the Watford Gap, but not as far up as Yorkshire. And it has Shire named after it, which is more than we currently do. Maybe we can make Southamptonshire official to annoy the Skates. I do know my mate Jonno went there once and said their women were beautiful, but then he also said Lisa Riley is a 9 after she lost the weight so... Anywho, Northants play at Sixfields, named ironically for it's neighbouring single field, and they share it with a Rugby team because the owners want to get their money's worth. They have Sam Hoskins who formerly graced our academy and recently had a testimonial because League One players are skint. That's my unresearched History lesson complete, on to the 100 per cent correct (this season) Picker Wheel... Screen_Recording_20250809_193956_Samsung Internet.mp4 So there you have it. To sum up, one field, skint footballers, supposedly fit women and we'll lose a 120 minute slog.
  3. Not that it will happen, but I'd love Tyler to see Jay's contribution and suddenly realise playing week in week out at this level beats spending a season coming off the bench at the HillDick whilst watching Dwight McNeil do next to nothing instead. Instead... pay up Everton so we can add someone else.
  4. Get it done. Heck we should even look at bringing Pierce in if it helps get him to stick around!
  5. I was one that didn't rate him last time out in the Championship but he was young, had a big price tag behind him and was playing first team football for the first time ever so I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Boy has he improved with that loan. My MOTM. Him and Downes will be a good midfield, as long as the club can get someone in to help in AM (if Mat is off). Long season but a promising first game of the campaign for him.
  6. Once we have the new wingers in place that I’m pretty sure we’ll get, I wouldn’t actually mind seeing a 442 type formation with a little and large partnership (Downs, BBD or Stewart with AA or Archer). I know the formation is nearly dead in the modern game but I do think it could work. I suppose 433 wouldn’t be too dissimilar but I’m not sure Archer makes a good wide player quite like AA. I don’t like 3 CBs but, as I said earlier, we are so stocked in that position it did make sense to start it today. THB, Stephens and Quarshie should be decent at this level. Also, 2 goals in injury time… all credit to Still for getting the lads fit.
  7. Well damn. The wheel got it right!
  8. Fucking hell I watch the whole game until 70 minutes when my shift finished, get on the Tube and by the time I'm back to my car we've only bloody won it. I'll take a bog standard 3 points any day but work to be done. Welcome to the Championship Wrexham.
  9. Of all the saviours, What a man, what a Manning
  10. If we can score I think they crumble.
  11. Good from Jay, needed and end product
  12. All a bit slow and ploddy from Saints ffs. Come on lads, we are losing!
  13. Umm... I'd take a point? 😄
  14. AA should play wide or not at all. He's not a striker and never has been. I like him but I'm hoping we use Downs or Stewart as a target man through this season. Sugawara and Armstrong off for Matty and Downs.
  15. I'll be in the Med myself in around 24 hours with any luck.
  16. Decent tackle by Stephens in the end
  17. All 4 would probably improve the attack.
  18. Feels like it. No VAR to help us either!
  19. Charles does look much better than when I saw him in our last Championship season. Match experience.
  20. Good thing is we have players on the bench that can change the way we play. Question is when Still uses them.
  21. Fraser, Charles and Welington been probably our best players so far.
  22. Close Fraser
  23. Free kick at the 4th time of asking.
  24. AA snapshot. Direct to keeper.
  25. Our attack is 5'4. 5'8 and 5'9 and our wing backs are 5'8 and 5'7. Hopefully the signings of Downs and Quarshie show the way the club wants to do things going forward.
