8 points off Boro in second. Well if the media keep saying Norwich have a chance of getting to the play offs despite being 9 points behind us then surely we still have a shot at the autos! We seem to be grinding results out. Mark of a good team. Incidentally relegation battle now looks like a 3 horse race between Pompey, Leicester and Oxford. Hope Oxford stay up but anything could happen there.

Points are all that matters now. Nice break until the next game. Get the players rested, get Leo fit and we go again.

Balls. Control the controllables.

Get Bragg on.

Wake up Saints.

Could boost their goal difference here.

Hope Ross is fit enough to contribute. Need a sneaky third.

Balls. Come on Sheffield teams.

Against Wednesday they were always likely to win today. All we can do is keep winning.

Wrexham losing!

His goal against Leicester was special. I look forward to seeing today's.

Chill your beans tempt-fater, a lot of the game to go yet! 😁

Ironically, nothing is sticking to him.

Oxford forum says that for some reason despite their recent good form they went to 5 at the back today and it seems to be costing them. Oh we Saints fans know only two well about 5 at the back not working. I'm not watching the game so I'll look forward to seeing the Charles goal on the highlights tonight.

Agree. They can't sit back now. Get a second and we can play the game we want to play and not have to try and break down a 9 man defence.

I thought that. Defensively as strong as we have been but I worry the attack won't click. If Archer and Fellows are going to do anything for us for the rest of this season, today is their chance.

Has he been eating Flynn's Lasagne?

On paper, 3 points. But they're fighting for their lives... which is good as it means Leicester, WBA and Portsmouth are left squirming. That said I hope we can keep the run going now we're in the driving seat. We need to put pressure on Hull now and even make Milwall and Ipswich think twice. Same team. Maybe put Ross and Leo on the bench but I wouldn't be risking them when we have a break after. Tough game though. This could very well be another WBA unless we can take our chances when they come.

If we don't go up, i really hope we keep this team together. Add a striker, a right AM and perhaps strengthen the full back positions and we will piss the League next year. I'd personally take the options up on Cyle and Peretz. Cyle has no re-sell value but his experience and leading the line skill would be invaluable. And he's only 30, he's not old. Peretz is a no brainer.

If you told me a week ago after the WBA draw we'd beat Coventry and Norwich I wouldn't have believed you, but that is tremendous resilience from the lads, even when we're not really at our attacking best. But I've said it recently, one of the key reasons for our good form is our defensive solidity. That starts with Peretz signing, and reintegrating Bree. Then it comes from playing the back 4 which THB is much more comfortable playing. You know Jack is playing well when people hardly mention him, and even Manning has stepped up to cover Welington's absence admirably. Then there's Downes in front, probably in the best form of his career. With a foundation like that we can go into games knowing we won't concede, or at least won't concede many. Keep it tight against Oxford on Saturday and another 1-0 would do.
