Well done to Leicester. They were the best side for half the season and despite letting a healthy lead in the League slip, then kept plugging away. They have largely gone back up on the base of still having some Prem players despite losing 3 or 4 and some decent recruitment. I'm hugely surprised at the Leeds result, they have the best attack in the Championship by miles - but the ball is definitely now in Ipswich's court. Leeds in the play-offs will be a disaster though as even if we get to the final it will likely be them we face - and I don't fancy us against them at all. Still, interesting few weeks ahead. That promotion feeling would really make the summer amazing. Hot sun, beer gardens, cold booze and the Euros. Noice.

I think just getting to the play-off final will be a buzz and will invigorate the club. (So that's us basically out before we even get to the second leg of the semis...)

There's no questioning his talent, it's always been his fitness/injury concerns that have been the worry. SURELY we've learned from the Ross Stewart debacle not to sign crocks again. Granted he's proving he's fit so far at Besiktas but how long will it last? I suppose to bring in a quality player at Championship level like him we have to take risks but I really wouldn't want to spend big money (big for the Championship anyway) on a player who could break down again. Glad I don't have to make that decision.

Well that's Coventry out of the reckoning. I'd rather not have to play Hull, I think they're a good team. That said I'd rather not have to play Norwich, WBA, Ipswich, Leeds or Leicester either but we have to play one of them.

We have two dead rubbers left - the only reason to win either is to go into the play-offs in some kind of form. However if Martin doesn't give Edozie, SAA and Dibling etc some kind of run out then he should be shot. Perfect time to give the kids some game time at a club that wants their youth department to be a success. I'm not Martin out - largely the recruitment is what has been shit for us in the last couple of seasons, but he's not doing himself any favours by sticking and backing players that are not performing. This season we've been an Adam Armstrong away from being a mid-table team. HUGE reset needed in the summer if we don't go up - and God help us if we do.

I like Brooks generally but he's been bang off it last few games - I wonder if Wales not making the Euros has anything to do with it. Rothwell I don't see anything in him apart from the fact he can seemingly hit a ball cleanly. Neither of them have improved us much in any way since they were brought in. Personally I would have Brooks back on a permanent next season as I do think he has something to offer but with this club seemingly needing a giant reset - perhaps not bringing him back would be best for everyone. One of the biggest issues with bringing Brooks in is that AA has had to shift to the left, when he was doing a good job on the right, meaning we haven't been able to play the likes of Fraser or Edozie. Or Sulemana which isn't the worst thing.

Fraser has been one of our better players this season. He's been fit for a few weeks now, that he keeps getting overlooked for Brooks (who I like but has been bang off it lately) is baffling.

Club saw pound signs. A youngster who could be worth dozens of millions potentially is fine if they're good enough. Trouble is we had hits with Tino and Lavia and the club want more. Still time for Shea but I wouldn't want to be relying on him next season whichever league we're in.

To think had we won at Cardiff we would have been going into this game with some hope of autos to be greeted by this performance. If we do go up we will be murdered without a raft of signings we probably couldn't afford.
