I like Brooks generally but he's been bang off it last few games - I wonder if Wales not making the Euros has anything to do with it. Rothwell I don't see anything in him apart from the fact he can seemingly hit a ball cleanly. Neither of them have improved us much in any way since they were brought in. Personally I would have Brooks back on a permanent next season as I do think he has something to offer but with this club seemingly needing a giant reset - perhaps not bringing him back would be best for everyone. One of the biggest issues with bringing Brooks in is that AA has had to shift to the left, when he was doing a good job on the right, meaning we haven't been able to play the likes of Fraser or Edozie. Or Sulemana which isn't the worst thing.

I turned it off just after third goal. Off to work. Unfortunately still getting LiveScore updates...

No attacking ideas, can't defend, just awful. Norwich and WBA will be desperate for 5th place so they know they can draw us in the play offs.

Oh for fucks sake that was crap

The more players this club sheds in the summer the better. Sadly the manager will still be here so...

If we were a dog we'd be put down.

Kudos to the Saints fans who are still singing us on. Poor bastards.
-
Especially when it was Bree playing left back earlier this season that tightened us up after Manning scared the shit out of us with his positioning.
-
Fraser has been one of our better players this season. He's been fit for a few weeks now, that he keeps getting overlooked for Brooks (who I like but has been bang off it lately) is baffling.

Club saw pound signs. A youngster who could be worth dozens of millions potentially is fine if they're good enough. Trouble is we had hits with Tino and Lavia and the club want more. Still time for Shea but I wouldn't want to be relying on him next season whichever league we're in.

To think had we won at Cardiff we would have been going into this game with some hope of autos to be greeted by this performance. If we do go up we will be murdered without a raft of signings we probably couldn't afford.

I put the game on after 8 mins, have been busy cooking carbonara, finally sit down to eat it and bang. One down. Sigh.

Ipswich up over Leicester please. Leicester are in real trouble if they don't go up and Ipswich in the Prem will just be fun. In the play off final even with Baz and Stu I back us to beat anyone in a one off game bar Leeds.

Another undeserved win for United at Wembley. Luck of the Irish that lot.

Bloody United wankers. Gutted for Coventry
-
VAR killing the romance of football. To the naked eye he looked onside. Yes it's the rules yadda yadda but still. If United win this Coventry will be gutted.
-
United will win this now. Jesus. If that was us I'd be fuming.
-
That is fucking harsh

Amazing, so pleased for Coventry! Haha United. Proves the underdogs can win at Wembley... 🥹

Now imagine his output next to a striker that has also scored 20+ goals. As much as our GK, Defence and Midfield have been to blame at times this season, the lack of a striker that can regularly put the ball in the back of the net and convert chances has cost us autos. Ross Stewart may have been that striker but when you sign a player who has been out for 8 months, that's the gamble you take. And we (or rather the club decision makers) lost that gamble. This should have been addressed in January but instead we stuck by the inconsistent Adams, the inexperienced and seemingly lazy Mara and we signed Brooks instead meaning AA has had to play up top at times which is not his best position (despite that being the position he wants to play in). I sincerely hope whatever League we're in come June that our transfers are better than they have been.

Updates to the Hogwarts Express video...

With us all bar mathematically out of the race for autos, we cast our eyes to our potential play off rivals. Below us, Coventry have games in hand but are heavily relying on teams above them to win. Probably won't make it, similar to our chances of autos! Hull win their game in hand and they're only 3 behind the other two. Norwich have caught WBA up. Obviously also one of the top 3 will end up third. So really we are the only ones definitely in the play-offs. So there's that. Personally I'd rather play WBA over two legs as I think they're the most beatable. Who would you rather play in the semis/final?
-
Well that result surely stops the "what ifs". Prep for the playoffs. WBA be afraid. 😁
