Potentially. We have the cup game now for a bit of League relief but they need to keep up the second half effort in the next two games following that. Without getting too carried away, home games against Charlton and QPR and Wednesday away - 7-9 points from those and I would bet we actually find ourselves IN the play-offs, if not pushing for higher. Even 6 points would be a decent return. From 37 years of being a Saints supporter we have had ups and downs, but usually when we have the ups, we go all Saintsy and do something stupid. At half time last night it felt like just that. To turn it around and win was amazing and completely unexpected for a team like us. And yes, we went from 45 minutes in with a play-off finish becoming unlikely to being slap bang in the race by full time. No more first halves like last night again though please.

When Adkins was appointed in League One, I said whichever manager gets us promoted will be remembered for it forever. He then got us through the Championship too. I'll admit I have some doubts about Tonda (lack of experience principally) but he will be remembered for this result for a long time. His subs at half time were perfect after all 3 players deserved to be hooked. He's learning and this performance, both halves bad and good, will go a long way towards that. Credit where it's due. We're bang in form now and there seems to be a good team spirit. Our next game better be against a team with a defence as bad as Leicester's...

Birmingham dropped a surprising 2 points tonight too. Good for us and a WBA point sends Pompey and Leicester that little bit closer to the relegation zone. It's a shame Blackburn are so shit that they'll probably end up going down anyway.
