It's possibly already too late for a new manager to save us but we need to give it a try. Maybe the players aren't good enough but with better coaching, tactics and selection I'd bloody love to see us try. Even if we win today that is my opinion. I still think with Fernandes, Ramsdale, Suga, KWP, THB, Dibling and Archer we have the makings of a decent side. They're just padded out with Championship standard players.

Carsley doing his U21 stalwart a favour by getting him in the senior squad before he heads back to the U21. I'm ok with it. Whether Tuchel will continue to select him remains to be seen but this will do his confidence the world of good.

Wolves is a must win with the fixtures we have coming after. Today's win gives me no more confidence that Martin will deliver that, the starting line up was poor as was, by reports and stats, the performance. I'd rather he went now to give a new manager an easier start than Liverpool.

We should have beaten Leicester and could be on 7 points right now. 4 from 10 games s still unacceptable as is this performance but this will buy Martin time.

All IMO: Manning, AA, a past it Lallana and Stephens aren't Prem quality. Archer, Fernandes, THB and Downes are largely unproven at this level but are promising. That leaves KWP, Ramsdale and Bednarek (arguably) as the Prem players in this line up. That's where our issues are. We don't have enough quality or experience in this line up. I still believe we have enough quality in the squad but we're rapidly sailing through games with the wrong manager in place. We just need someone to bring a breath of fresh air, not overcomplicate things, pick the best players in the best formation and just let the professional footballers play football.

Yep but it's been obvious when he's played this season... so why play him? AA was a key reason we got promoted but he's clearly one of those players that's excellent in the Championship and not good enough for the Prem... so why does Martin persevere with him? He's quick and fit but be just doesn't have a quick enough footballing brain. Of course I'm saying this so he can go and prove me wrong...

Too defensive but I guess shoehorn was to be expected. Little creativity there. If we were to field that in the Championship I wouldn't be disappointed but in the Prem, with one point from 9 games, against a team we effectively have to beat... nope. It's getting harder to care whilst the board still back Martin. I really hope we can pull 3 points out the bag but that line up looks almost like we're playing for a draw. Which isn't good enough.

If we are going to to turn our season around under Martin, this has to be the game. If we don't pick up 3 points then surely, SURELY he has to go.
