  1. So we have written off Redmond after 90 minutes, as well as Puel. I take it, given those 90 minutes, that we are going to get relegated and Hull are going to finish top 4.
  2. Jeff, there is the point that you raise about mobility which isn't getting any more mobile, I'll give you that. But not sure he makes a huge amount of mistakes and he and VVD make a great partnership.
  3. So a younger, better and less experienced CB is what we should go, while Utd should go for the older, worse but more experienced one? Is that what you are saying?
  4. That would be a very welcome change, but alas, there has been no evidence of that ever happening.
  5. I like this line of thought. If there was a younger and better CB, do you not think that Man Utd would be wanting to buy him instead?
  6. To me, while I am boring and traditional and like my wingers to be wingers, and not some diamond, the most important thing is for the manager to instil confidence in the player(s). With Redmond, I am not sure what more the manager can do in that respect with him. Now, those saying that Puel shouldn't try and make him be a striker when he is a winger, we all know that Thierry Henry started as a winger. We all know that Gareth Bale started at left back.
  7. Alpine, Jack Schit is full of schit. Once you have been shown up for being full of schit, "cry wolf" comes to mind. I in fact think that this time what he says, although probably highly embellished, is plausible and I previously mentioned that Jorges Mendes most likely sees Man Utd as being somewhat more important than little old Southampton. AR10 saying it is potentially libellous, well, I would have to disagree with that as nothing defamatory was written. He (presuming AR10 is a he) might disagree with it and it might well be wrong, as who really knows what goes on behind closed doors, but being wrong and being defamatory aren't the same thing. Carrying on with the clichés, no smoke without fire comes to mind. OK, with transfers there actually is a lot of smoke without fire, but it tends not to go on for this long.
  8. Meanwhile, in China, Pelle is destroying that league with 1 goal (a meaningless 3rd in the 87th minute some weeks ago) in 5 matches.

  10. You know what, while I would hate to go through relegation again, there is a certain attraction to what you say. However, when you get the likes of Wolves bidding £21m for a player, and parachute payments as they are, then the Championship is going the same way.
  11. I'm way past caring who says what. I can't affect it, so just take it when it comes. Jorges Mendes will do his work, and Saints really are rather irrelevant to him I would have thought, as there are far bigger players who pay him more.
  12. Might I suggest that it is time for you to shut up?
  13. The good thing about football is that it never disappoints you.
  14. Opinions old boy. We're all allowed to have them.
  15. Mane replaced Jrod while out injured. If (and that might be a big if) JRod comes back to what he was before his injury, then we will be better off. Remember, Spurs wanting to sign him for £15m (back in the days when £15m bought you something rather better than it does today).
  16. What's Caulker up to these days???
  17. There are in fact two things, science and opinion; the former begets knowledge, the later ignorance - Hippocrates
  18. I always love it when people turn round and tel others to chill out. As a matter of fact, I am extremely "chilled", but thank you for your concern. But hey it's no big deal if you don't understand the salient point.
  19. Maybe, but that has little to do with the capabilities (or lack of) of the manager.
  20. I think you must be a little simple.
  21. I don't have any, but then I haven't written the manager off after 90 minutes.
  22. Ah ha. A mighty warrior based in the arm chair it is then. Much the best place to watch a game, form an opinion of the manager and be able to write him off. Unfortunately I am not as skilled as you in these fine arts, so will have to wait a while to see how things turn out. As I say, you may well turn out to be right. But as I say, this place is so full of miserable ****s who can't get behind the team (although they profess that they do) that it is not worth spending £5 any more.
  23. BAtman, you've written him off. Did you go to the game yesterday?
  24. Not at all. There are opinions right or wrong, and there are some that are so banal that it isn't worth even writing them.
