  1. Who is the "advisor"? Egil, Claus,.....??
  2. Said to my neighbour that I hate these type of games where all these people emerge out of the woodwork. I was at a pre-Xmas drinks and mentioned the game, and this bimbo got all excited and that she must get tickets for her kids (who spend most of the time in London). Where were they all at the beginning of the season? While I enjoyed the result, it wasn't the most enjoyable game at SMS this season. Sunderland was fun (for me and the 29k others who bothered to turn up), but Everton takes it, as I really wasn't expecting that. But, as others have said, people pay there pennies and they can come to the game and be as vocal as they want.
  3. Hopefully the last bit is going to be true, and that he will prove his detractors wrong.
  4. She was there today. She and Ralph didn't seem to be having a big laugh, but who knows.
  5. Pathetic thread
  6. I think that you are probably right. We need to be consistently taking points off the top 6. I know that we have got results off of them but it's not consistent enough to take the next step up. Maybe we have hit our glass ceiling. Can we smash through it? Look back at the 5 year plan when we were languishing at the bottom of L1 and would you have thought it realistic that we would be where we are today? Personally no. Maybe our time in L1, but nPc was a bit of a surprise as fully expected 2-3 years if not more. And now in the PL? I look at it and think blimey. First year was happy to be there, but last season and this, we seem to be at the top of the rest. I get the feeling that it is now expected of us to be knocking on the door of the top teams (ie finish 7-10). How the hell has that happened? You look at other teams who have been in PL for longer than us, and they don't really get the same expectation. Villa, NUFC, Stoke, WBA etc. OK Villa and NUFC are different from others as they are BIG clubs and the biggest of the rest, but the general expectation (from pundits) of them is lower than us. It seems that WHU are now quite similar. I do realise how fickle everything is. Pre-City game, we were being talked about as CL. Our bad run of games, and we had been replaced by WHU and we were has beens. Win 2 on the trot, go above WHU, and we are back challenging for a CL spot. And let's not forget being favourites for relegation. All in all, I think that I have a good amount of man love for Ronald.
  7. MAybe it's just me, but his last few games seem to have been less effective than in the past. To such an extent, that if he goes, I'm not sure that we'll miss him as much as the press seem to make out. Or have I been drinking too much?
  8. LOL - Colemanballs.

    Gardos

Glad that he has some game time. Woould be sad to sign for us (giving up CL) to sit on the bench all season. When Yoshi is at the Asia Cup, question is whether we can still work a back 3 with Toby and Fonte.
  10. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2886562/Adam-Lallana-sees-signs-Liverpool-lift-helping-rescue-point-against-Arsenal.html Why is it Lallana this, Lallana that?? What is the Liverpool PR team trying to sell - a future captain?
  11. Will be interesting to see what happens with Mané when he comes back from ACN.
  12. Well Gaston is in his 3rd season and hasn't shown anything. If we are going to use the argument of giving him time, then surely Mane should also be given time. To me, Mane ain't great at the moment but is better than Gaston.
  13. http://www.givemesport.com/532199-southamptons-flexibility-gives-ronald-koeman-added-option?autoplay=on pretty accurate summary. But in most of the press, I find it strange that Toby doesn't get a mention. He was my MotM and held everything together at the back without any fuss or flair.
  14. Is that important? I'm in Row JJ so the bigger they are, the easier they are to see.
  15. Who is talking about borderline legal age girls? That's disgusting. We need real women like the Dallas Cowboys have.
  16. I know lots of local Chelsea "supporters" who want to take their kids along for a jolly. Got quite annoyed with one of my "friends" and told them I hope they got kicked out if they were in the home section.
  17. Flawed. That he and Mayuka are both gash, doesn't mean we should keep either of them Midfield strength was OK, so good to shift Gaston. Forward strength is very thin, hence keeping Mayuka, at least in my eyes. I suspect that wages are somewhat different. Frankly if neither play for Saints again, then that's no great loss.
  18. I might be in the minority, but with everyone raving about what a super star he is, I feel a little differently. Yes, he is a good player, but he is not indispensable.
  19. They might - they've got quite a nice run now. Burnley A Swansea H Leicester H Sunderland A Villa A Wet Spam H Everton A Spurs H Saints A
  20. If it stays 2-2 I'll be happy enough.
  21. Strange stats.... Possession Saints 43.9% Everton 56.1% Passes Saints 612 Everton 313 So Everton had 12% more possession but half the number of passes. Seems a bit strange.
  22. Don't particularly like Arsenal, but Liverpool at home...has to be an Arsenal win, even though a draw would suit us better.
  23. Would love to see some pretty girls in skimpy outfits strutting their stuff.

    Yoshida

Always thought that people under rate him. Sure he tended to make a mistake or two, that turned out to be costly, but good in the air, can be a little over physical, but generally quite reliable. Think Koeman might be the sort of manager to improve him, as we have seen this season.
  25. And let's not forger Forster...a quiet afternoon, but the save from Lukaku when it was 2-0 looked pretty damn good to me. If that had gone in........!
