No I don't. You may not agree with it, I might not agree with it, I might not agree with you. Boils down to customer is king. I think that the club could quite easily have come out with some platitudes (whether they be hollow or not) to keep their customers anxieties under control. And let's face it, lots of people like being doom and gloom merchants. That's fine. You buy the product in an unquestioning manner (like I have). But if others want to question what they are buying, I hardly think it fair to call them "hysterical tarts". And before parting with £££s or ££££s maybe they are right to question the future rather than look at the past, don't you think, or should they just buy the product unquestioning?

Thought it would be rather obvious what the point was. You say people are being "hysterical tarts" - that may be so. But if your customers are concerned about what product they are going to be offered, they just might not buy it. As you say the season finished 2 weeks ago, although season ticket renewals have been open for longer. The renewal rate, which I do not know, is a way of gauging how the customers are feeling.

Why "Uh-oh"? AFAIK you don't have press conferences when people are leaving - that's the prerogative of the new club.

I guess that's what it means to be a customer of a football club. We can be fed all sorts of ****, yet we will come back for more. That is very true, but not sure when the last time was that a club, who hadn't been relegated, had the threat (if newspaper tittle tattle is to be believed - and yes, that's a very big "if") of losing 4 of their back five who played this season, all of their midfield bar one, their main two strikers and let's not forget the manager and his assistants.
