MLG, why rise to it?
-
I'm of an age where I don't really understand these things and all the subliminal messages that it does or doesn't send. If you don't see the message, how can you like it and why do people think that you have had to have seen it? Maybe you are scratching your butt instead of clicking the like button. And why if you do see it, do you have to "like" it? Seems that Twitter users are all blessed with ESP.

It would make sense. Ostensibly though, the squad at this time is the same as last season (save for Fonte and JRod), and we managed to finish 8th. We think that we have made a big upgrade on the manager, so if he can get the squad that finished 8th to fire properly......... I wouldn't advocate that, as I do think that the CM definitely needs some creativity added to it, and DM needs bolstering.

Ah ha, I have now seen the Grauniad article. £75m + an easily attainable £15m add ons, so lets presume that it will be £90m there. Rooney going the other way FOC, but that is where the £10m comes from as that is what Everton, and maybe Utd as well, value him at. So that brings it up to £100m Then if reports are true, Utd have paid the last year of Rooney's wage as well (who knows, it might inc loyalty bonuses) coming to another £15m. Also, the agent's fee of £10-12m. I am presuming that Utd are paying this (as they paid £41m fee for Pogba). So adding these on, we get to £125-127m So what they paid for Pogba and Lukaku, MU could have bought SFC.

But the pretty wife only went for a drink and a meal with a suitor and it was the suitor who has said that she wants to move in with him. Do you take the word of the suitor, over the wife who so far hasn't said anything publicly?
-
WC, what was the £10m for? Paying him off? Or what Everton were valuing him at (ie MU paid £85m for Lukaku less £10m that Rooney is valued at)?
-
Peed off with other clubs and their supporters coveting one of our players?? No, not me. I understand why you might, as the constant press stories and actions of some, are nothing short of disrespectful. But if you have a pretty wife and lots of people flirt with her, do you dump her because of that?
-
I understand them shifting Rooney on, but I read somewhere that they are paying up his £15m remaining on the contract. Can't understand that, as they could just as well keep him for the year. Only explanation is that it is a makeweight in the Lukaku deal, which make Lukaku f...ing expensive. £75m rising to £90m with add-ons. Rooney's £15m last year's wages, effectively making him a free agent and writing off, say, another £15m in what they might have got as a transfer fee.
-
The agent's fees are ridiculous. £10m here (or some say £12m) and he got £41m for the Pogba transfer!!
-
I guess Everton, while they wouldn't mind him, are trying to wind up their neighbours and seem to be doing rather well. As for who the worse fans are, the reds take it.

Nice to see the tail wag a bit and us get over 450. All out 458. Shame that Root couldn't move on from his overnight score of 184 and get a double century.

The thing about 3pm Saturday is that you can structure your week/future to accommodate for this. 1st world problem really. For preference, I like the 2000/1945 kick off the most, then 1500, then 1730, then 1415/1400 then 1230 but over all, if the game is on and I can get to it, I will.
-
Personally, I said that I liked it that we weren't for the 3pm reason, but at the same time, I didn't like it due to the fact that we miss out on the Facility Fee. As a supporter the former is more important as I can disregard the business side of things.

Headline in Express....Everton leaked Man Utd interest for Romelu Lukaku to make Chelsea bid - Gabriele Marcotti

Needs to show the manager he can get the ball into the back of the net on a regular basis. Just imagine what a player he would be if he could bury all those chances.

Sat, Sep 23 - West Ham United v Tottenham (Sky Sports) 12.30pm Sat, Sep 23 - Leicester v Liverpool (BT Sport) 5.30pm These 2 seem more enticing than Saints vs Man Utd. I can understand the London derby, but guess not a huge difference between us and the other one.

Why not just go here - https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-everton/alletransfers/verein/29

Ah, so only the top teams are worthy of being televised. In that case, why not just show games involving the top 6? That would be good, wouldn't it? Isn't there a stipulation that all teams have to be shown a minimum of 8 times?
-
Possibly. I don't mind too much as I like the 3pm KOs, but I do mind that we miss out financially. What is the facility fee - £750k? So NUFC for example are earning £3m more than us from TV up until the end of September.

Interesting..... On 6 times - Arsenal On 5 times - Liverpool, Man C, Man U, Spurs, Newcastle On 4 times - Brighton, On 3 times - Chelsea, Everton, Leicester, Wet Spam, Swansea, Stoke, Huddersfield, On twice - Bournemouth, WBA, Burnley, Palace. On once - Watford, SAINTS Our televised game is an enticing 1230 KO at Palace....!!!

Never heard of him. Interesting stats, though for La Liga. Last 2 seasons only, played 69, scored 2, assists 5, yellow cards 26. That's more than Oriol who in PL, P64, goals 2, assists 0, yellows 18.

Just because some transfers are hugely over inflated, doesn't mean all should be over inflated.
-
Supposedly Everton have rejected the £75m.
