  1. The ref couldn't see that. I looked straight away at the assistant but he just looked sheepishly back at the ref. Between them, they bottled it.
  2. According to some of them, it's their money. They just haven't won it yet.
  3. Oh please don't! It's worth £5 for the entertainment value alone.
  4. We'd be top if we'd had this team all season.
  5. If Huddersfield don't win either of their next games then it all goes to the last game of the season, provided that we win both of ours.
  6. The Concorde club is very close to where they train and I once saw David James in their carpark doing a u-turn. Don't forget that these suppliers will have had to account for the VAT element of these 'sales' and will not be able to claim that back until the debt is formally written off.
  7. Thanks Phil, someone told me this morning I needed a laugh.
  8. Not inspiring, I'll grant you, but he did play his part in keeping a clean sheet. The problem was farther upfield than him.
  9. Yes I know what you mean. Lashings of cream does the trick.
  10. Well if you increase the value of an asset it decreases the net debt. Why he would do that I cannot say.
  11. That's less than 98 points over a season. Not good enough!
  12. The pictures in the Sun are only small parts of the actual ones. For a fuller picture you need a quality newspaper: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1267500/Meet-SWAGS-Service-Wives-And-Girlfriends--cheeky-naked-calendar-raised-26-000-Help-For-Heroes.html (or the Daily Mail)
  13. Well they take off from some place where there isn't any ash (like, the rest of the world) and then they fly over us (and the ash) and they land some place where there isn't any ash (like, the rest of the world).
  14. So how many seasons in League 1 can we wait until he has grown up?
  15. So.... the longer it goes on the more the 'football' element of the debt and the smaller the HMRC proportion. The players could agree to defer their wages knowing that they will eventually be paid in full and everybody else could agree a CVA. Is that possible?
  16. It's all that they have to cling to after a few sh!t years.
  17. Palace were in administration for two years.
  18. Was it just me or did anyone else think that Davis was passing the ball out more last night?
  19. Interesting figures, and a lot of them are in Euros. How will variations in the exchange-rate affect the 25% figure, and at what date is the rate determined?
  20. I was there last night as usual and I have always been critical of him. He didn't seem to fit into the team. He has no pace, can't beat a player, loses posession easily. We certainly can't wait for players to 'develop', that philosophy belongs in the past. I'll never forgive him for that self-indulgent lunge that gave away a penalty earlier in the season and cost us the game. Were it not for that, we might still be dreaming...
  21. It was more like volleyball than football. Apart from the two or three times that the ball glanced of someone's arm I'm sure I saw at least two instances of someone punching the ball out of the box. The ref was not at this best last night but how three players missed that cross across the goal deep into injury time I shall never know. Oh well, at least next season should be good.
  22. I counted over 7 instances of him losing posession or passing to the opposition.
  23. Past his best, I'm afraid. A good solid pro with valuable experience but you wouldn't want to have to play him every week.
  24. I have to agree with all that has been said. It looks like we need a couple of midfield dynamos before next season. I can't blame James, it's not his fault he's bad. I blame Schneiderlin for his moment of stupidy.
  25. The ash is apparently below 20,000 ft so British airspace above that is open.
