  1. Each club gets £247,500 TV money. If you're paying half a million you get to say when it happens, I'm afraid.
  2. It's great to hear that there will be meetings and consultation. I have a couple of points: Aren't the away fans in the the Itchen / Northam corner for easy access to their coaches and ticket office collections? The queues for pies and pints are enough to deter any but the hardened participators. Anything that can be done to reduce them would be fantastic. How about having indiviidual accounts for each supporter with a direct-debit setup (similar to Paypal) to make paying for tickets easier and quicker?
  3. Thanks for the insight. It reinforces what we all knew and thought, that we had a poor start to the season. I also think that we have, quite understandably, had too many changes in the team to reach any consistency, and that AP is still working towards finding his best 11 players. The cup wins show that there is now a great spirit in the club and for the first time in years we are moving upwards, albeit at a slower pace than some would desire.
  4. '...and slow start...'
  5. What do we want? - Instant gratification! When do we want it? - Now!
  6. 'They'll only drag you down to their level, and they've got more experience'
  7. You can't buy instant results. I would expect 6 to 10 games with a settled side before we start to win consistently. Playoffs this season have always been a remote possibility, but we need another month of results before we can start giving up hope.
  8. Is it just the host team that gets the money, or both? Forget it, I've just read the link! (It's both teams)
  9. Aren't there more sanctions depending on how you exit from administration and the form of the CVA?
  10. Indeed they are. Ranked 115 in world football, just above the Gambia and then the Faerø Islands, up 3 places from last year!
  11. How much did they offer, 50p?
  12. 10 pts is just for starters, there could be more depending on the final outcome.
  13. The same sort of idiot who books a cruise over the playoff weekend.
  14. Didn't your mummy tell you, you can't have everything in life? They probably wanted to get it played before Pompey went out of business.
  15. On the OS a few minutes ago: http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1945332,00.html
  16. My sympathies with the fans. I've always had a soft spot for them.
  17. 12:45 on Saturday and on ITV: http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1945332,00.html
  18. You saw that too! I thought it was just me.
  19. Wonderful thing, the internet: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flemish (and a big time-waster)
  20. It's a great draw for us if we win it. It would be disappointing if we lost, but not the end of the world and we would still have what's left of the gate receipts. But what if we drew? Does anyone fancy a Tuesday night at FP? Plus Wycombe away would have to be re-arranged.
  21. Last season must have been a bit dull?
  22. I just saw David James turning round in the Concord Club car park before driving up towards the Trojans. Shouldn't he be at Stoke?
  23. I use to watch the ball until I became a refeee but now I tend to scan the whole pitch. At corners and goalkicks I watch the players since 'Nothing can happen to the ball whilst it is in the air'. I still miss a lot, though, especially when I'm daydreaming.
  24. There is a test for a 'fit and proper person', but Lowe passed that so who knows?
