  1. A bit off topic, but a colleague of mine was in B&Q a few months ago with their two-year old grandchildren when one went missing. They found her eventually on one of the show toilets but were too late to stop her doing a dump in it.
  2. Always remember that you are unique. Just like everybody else.
  3. Did he say 'today' or 'tomorrow'?
  4. I hate sprouts so that's all right then. (see, no teeth in the smiley)
  5. That might be the net figure after Watford and other have been paid. Nope, £7m is all there is and that may be diverted.
  6. I think the origin has to go to Kipling in his poem 'The Betrothed': http://glenavalon.com/thebetrothed.html 'A million surplus Maggies are willing to bear the yoke; And a woman is only a woman, but a good Cigar is a Smoke.' Pedants of the world unite - you have nothing to lose but your friends
  7. Because Le Tissier has more pounds on him?
  8. Even on crutches?
  9. It's a commercial choice for the club but for some people it's another reason not to bother buying a season ticket...
  10. 'When you're in deep water, keep your mouth shut' I like Sam Goldwyn's: http://www.rinkworks.com/said/samuelgoldwyn.shtml especially 'Gentlemen, listen to me very slowly'
  11. That is of course true but I seem to remember something in the prospectus about 'guarantee you seat for cup matches', or was it just priority booking?
  12. Let me guess... RBS, LLoyds TSB, Halifax?
  13. Woah, steady on! The club is still a business and every extra ticket is desperately needed. We are still deep in recession.
  14. I suspect that it depends on your viewpoint, literally.
  15. I have my own seat in the Kingsland for the JPT and I assumed that the FA cup would be the same so I went to the TO first thing Monday morning only to find out that the half the ground was not open. I have no problem with that in itself but the OS only says 'only certain seating blocks open in the Itchen, Northam and Kingsland stands', which could hardly be more vague. It's not 'moaning and groaning' when a customer raises a point about customer service, and before anybody starts talking about fans supporting the club through wind and rain, a large proportion of the people who go to games are not as dedicated as most of us on here. Many are elderly and of restricted mobility and getting to the game in the middle of winter is enough of a problem, let alone trying to get tickets.
  16. Looks a bit uncomfortable. You'll need a cushion to sit on that.
  17. Don't please. I had a tooth pulled out last week after the dentist had spent 40 minutes cutting away at the gum and drilling out the bone to find out that it was split and had to come out anyway. I shall have to gum my way through the turkey.
  18. Brilliant! Get loads of cashback on one of your own cards. No-one apart from the British Government could think of such a scheme!
  19. I've always got on at Eastleigh and left the car at Fleming Park. It depends where you're coming from.
  20. Opened the Kingsland Centre and worked outwards from there? There is a higher proportion of STs there and they are more likely to buy tickets than others, I should have thought.
  21. Apparently all the Palace players are available: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1234924/Crystal-Palace-entire-squad-sale-Wigan-Sunderland-target-Ambrose.html
  22. Or you can get out at Winchester and take a Bluestar bus #1 or Eastleigh and take a #2 to the war memorial. Both are are every 20 mins. It's an 18 minute walk from there. http://www.bluestarbus.co.uk/routelist.shtml
  23. Sound so much better the 'Eurofighter' doesn't it? What do the Germans call it?
  24. Are there any right-backs in there?
  25. It's either 'what have I done?' or 'what am I going to do?'
