  1. On the OS a few minutes ago: http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1945332,00.html
  2. My sympathies with the fans. I've always had a soft spot for them.
  3. 12:45 on Saturday and on ITV: http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1945332,00.html
  4. You saw that too! I thought it was just me.
  5. Wonderful thing, the internet: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flemish (and a big time-waster)
  6. It's a great draw for us if we win it. It would be disappointing if we lost, but not the end of the world and we would still have what's left of the gate receipts. But what if we drew? Does anyone fancy a Tuesday night at FP? Plus Wycombe away would have to be re-arranged.
  7. Last season must have been a bit dull?
  8. I just saw David James turning round in the Concord Club car park before driving up towards the Trojans. Shouldn't he be at Stoke?
  9. I use to watch the ball until I became a refeee but now I tend to scan the whole pitch. At corners and goalkicks I watch the players since 'Nothing can happen to the ball whilst it is in the air'. I still miss a lot, though, especially when I'm daydreaming.
  10. There is a test for a 'fit and proper person', but Lowe passed that so who knows?
  11. And the same tw*t who bought him for Portsmouth for £4m in August 2008. Perhaps he is trying to do them a favour?
  12. How does anybody determine 'the market value'? It can only be what a prospective purchaser is prepared to pay, and that will depend on the financial state of the seller.
  13. There's no real proof either way. Nobody can prove it's man-made, and what temporary changes there have been may only be temporary. All that is left is belief and opinion. As they say about the existence of God, if you need proof then you have no faith.
  14. I think it suggests that the punishment did not fit the crime. A one match ban is the same as two yellows. I suspect that the assessor's report may have had a bearng on the outcome.
  15. As we've said before, everyone has an agenda.
  16. FA rules, I'm afraid. The away club get 15% of the available seats.
  17. They overemphasize the serious of the problem so that they can get more funding. A lot of scaremongering goes on.
  18. It makes no difference to the taxman. You either have more money in the bank or more valuable assets. You can't hide the profit!
  19. They are not preferential creditors so they join the queue with all the others.
  20. Correct, a net £6.5m. Should keep them going for 2 or 3 weeks.
  21. They owe so much money that any income is just a drop in the ocean. The prize money for later rounds is worth having: http://www.thefa.com/TheFACup/FACompetitions/TheFACup/FACupPages/FACupPrizeFund20082009.aspx Semi-final winners get £900,000, losers get half that.
  22. All Cup rules are on the FA site: http://www.thefa.com/TheFACup/FACompetitions/TheFACup/Rules.aspx Basically, they can decide to do whatever they like. You can download all the rules here: http://www.thefa.com/~/media/776FDC2C663A48568FC3688FA667463A.ashx/01%20FAC%20rules%202009-2010%20_blue_.pdf
  23. There must be something in this lot: http://www.alibaba.com/trade/search?SearchText=inflatable+Fish&Country=&CatId=0&IndexArea=product_en&ssk=y&sq=y
  24. Well, Tottenham are interested in him at £10m, if only to get back some of what they are owed.
  25. Nehru was the best Pandit. As for football, none of them seem to know anyting about the Laws of the Game and yet they are paid millions (especially in Andy Gray's case) to talk a load of billhooks. Any one of us could do it for half the price!
