I can't make the Tuesday so Wednesday would be better for me.

Next Tuesday according to the BBC https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/southampton/scores-fixtures/2024-02

We went there for a day on a cruise around Cape Horn. If you like wildlife and unspoilt scenery it's a fabulous place. I believe all the Argentinian mines have now been cleaned so it's safe to go on the beaches.

Cup tied presumably.

Just think of the investment needed in housing. Multiply the annual number of new house by the average house price and then take that figure out of the general economy. And that’s without the infrastructure needed.

Good to see him back

They've been a waste of time for years.

The magic has been destroyed by TV

We were never that good a team although there was one game where we dominated midfield and the other team said that we had played well. We lost two nil. It all depends on what you consider 'playing well'. Stringing lots of passes together might look good but to what effect? That's not to say that I consider the result to be the be all and end all. I like some excitement in the opposition penalty area, some chances of a goal or two. Some movement with purpose.

They should never be allowed to drive

If they are making sub-standard products what better place to send them than here? The Single Market wasn’t just a matter of making products to a common standard. There had to be a regulatory system to ensure conformity with them. Hence the ECJ which ‘we’ decided we didn’t want to have any influence over us. Now we have no protection against rubbish products.

That’s the very definition of being the better side. Nothing else matters. Unless you’re awarding marks for artistic impression of course
-
‘he’ ? Are you even allowed to say that?
-
I seem to remember that he had quite a few games for us without making an impression.
-
Thanks for the memories.

Would results have been better?

I speak from the experience of my own grandchildren. The lack of social interaction and opportunities to form friendships can lead to introversion.

You cannot extrapolate from a single fame to a whole season.

I blame the lockdowns and the school closures.

The officiating is not poor. It’s just operating to a different set of tolerance levels. The sort that football has always had before TV stuck its nose in.
-
Your description of him describes the way he has always played. He goes off chasing rabbits and gets out of position. He’s been doing it for years and doesn’t seem to have learnt anything.

They never used to be. Suspended for the next game for which they were eligible, or something. But as others have pointed out, we would have been down to ten men, which we effectively were once Stephens had come on. Apparently.

ThB will probably be rested against Watford anyway so a second yellow wouldn't have mattered.
