  1. That’s why you normally pack the bench with insurance. In the good old days there weren’t any substitutes.
  2. another way of looking at it, https://www.dumpert.nl/?selectedId=8040397_1c4cbcf2
  3. The normal maxim is always play your strongest team but in this case it should be do just enough to get through. A cup run would give us a chance to give the less experienced players a run out and for the senior players to get over injuries.
  4. Yes, I guess so but it’s all guesswork at the moment. Of course the programme for new patients will be running in parallel with the programme for booster jabs after a couple of months. What a logistical nightmare.
  5. That's my concern about the delay to the second booster jab. If the first is only about 65% effective then there is a period of a couple of months during which the recipients can catch and spread the virus and possibly even be developing another mutation.
  6. Romeu has a tendency to pick up yellow cards, usually when he is overstretching to win back the ball. From what little I has seen so far I have high hopes for Diallo.
  7. A cynical approach would have been to get booked and have a rest for Shrewsbury.
  8. David Prutton covers the Football League for Sky Sports.
  9. Pogba’s left arm was stretched out behind him fending off the Villa player which meant that Pogba’s body was twisted as he was running. That’s why he got himself tangled in his own feet. Never a penalty.
  10. Clean sheet. Loverly jubberly.
  11. I’m still waiting for Man Utd and everything after.
  12. He did well up at Anfield that night.
  13. No, it isn’t the same. The assistant doesn’t and shouldn’t have to be level with play. They must be level with the second to last defender at all times other that when they have other temporary duties.
  14. It was even less than that. They only had a camera at one game! If you missed a goal you never saw it again.
  15. They shouldn’t be. They have to be in line with the second to last defender. Then at the moment the ball is kicked they only have to decide if the attacking player is nearer the goal than they are.
  16. Some did, but how often during the game did you see repeated close ups of the managers?
  17. Incriminating evidence gets dropped/falls out of a pocket/gets forgotten. Car won’t start. Woman trips over/breaks shoe heel/twists ankle. Murderous villain gets knocked out but the history hero doesn’t take the opportunity to finish them off or at the very least take their weapons away or tie them up.
  18. Would everyone settle for a 0-0 this time?
  19. And sign Messi instead?
  20. My daughter has three children at school and a husband who spends all day on Zoom meetings. Two laptops, an old iPad and a phone don’t really provide a very good interaction and puts quite a strain on their broadband. How poorer families are supposed to cope I don’t understand.
  21. Penalty? Wasn’t it in our own penalty area?
  22. Thanks. I’m still waiting for mine too.
  23. True. One of the consequences of larger schools.
  24. In my schooldays that was the norm. Nowadays they have specialist classrooms for each subject. We used to have our own desks with our own schoolbooks kept within them and the books would last for many years. Nowadays they don’t last more than a couple of terms. It is more efficient to move just the one teacher than a whole classroom of students. Saves a lot of time too.
  25. I thought they were there already?
