The money doesn’t come from the UK. The Premier League has become what it is because of the fare eastern monies.

Because the football under Martin is shit. It is an effort to keep turning up to home games knowing that the enjoyment of the occasion is missing.

Why, is he only passing it backwards?

Especially since it could lead to the end of a very promising career.

I admire your optimism. I am convinced that this current system is not going to get us anywhere in this League. We might fluke a win but the feeling that I get from Saturday is that of a lower division team playing against one of the elites of this country in something like a cup game.

Then it should be stamped out. And it will be. Literally. Constant battering of the shins damages the periosteum and leads to long term problems. Shin pads don’t have to be the sort that we old un’s remember from our childhood. There are plenty of lightweight designs that offer good protection without being restrictive.

Personally I find Man City boring to watch. Everything happens so slowly.

This is spot on. Why is it that we and the world can see this but our board and management are so blinkered? What are the supposed advantages, if indeed there are any? Above all else it is stupefyingly boring football.

Proper shin pads would help.

At the very least we could get more goals, points and self-respect.

Exactly. If they’re not good enough to play his style then nobody would be. It’s the style that has to change not the players.

I don’t think he’ll ever learn. I don’t think he’s capable of learning. He’s been a manager long enough to have learnt what makes a good defence and there are no signs that he ever will. We cannot afford to have a Premier League novice in control of our football. Not to replace him now is an expensive mistake.

Leaving Saints to one side, I find most of the Premier League games to be dull and stupefying. Man City may be winning everything but by God they are a struggle to watch.
