  1. Indeed. However you look at it, it certainly counts as 'delaying the restart of the game'. All substitutions must take place on the halfway line and technically this one did too with the players on opposite sides of the pitch. There must have been some sort of misunderstanding.
  2. There is a graphic analysis on the Mai today: 31.4 yds 64.2 mph Time from boot to goal 1.0 secs I was right behind the shot in row 10 and my instant thought was that the goalkeeper would have it. Glad I was wrong
  3. Hmm, I've never been to Shrewsbury...
  4. I agree with Pap All you can ensure is equal opportunity.
  5. Getting there on the Piccadilly Line was hot, crowded and slow. It took me over an hour to get into the ground from leaving Covent Garden, not helped by the station there being closed for access. I didn't fancy queuing again to get back so I ended up walking to Kings Cross. My legs ache this morning.

  7. Fair enough. Then he deserves all the abuse we can give him.
  8. We sold him, I haven't heard anything about him pressing for a move.
  9. I thought the access arrangements were poor. The transport arrangements were overloaded and the queues at the turnstiles were all caused by the security frisking. Nowhere near enough toilets either.
  10. We're doing ok but were some way off a top 4 club.
  11. Not bad for a fiver I suppose Where did all the added time come from? I made it 5m20 extra.
  12. Correct. On both counts.
  13. There's no legal basis for declaring UDI, is there? The Scottish Parliament have limited powers which do t extend to creating a sovereign state.
  14. All good stuff, but it cannot possibly be sited away fom Westminster. The logistics become costly and impractical.
  15. Quite true. What they conveniently forget is how much London depends on the infrastructure of the surrounding counties - housing, education, health, leisure and so on.
  16. What exactly do you meany by that? Is it short for 'completely mental' by any chance?
  17. They should know: they're the ones that rigged it.
  18. There's also 'complementary'. (There's also 'judgmental' but I've never heard of 'judgmentary' ) Edit: yes, Samuel is a tired old hack.
  19. Gentlemen, Five games are not enough to make any comparisons or conclusions.
  20. Ok. Who did you nick it from?
  21. Tricked or not, that's how they voted. Salmond was making all sorts of promises he couldn't keep.
  22. He seemed to be saying 'I can't walk'.
  23. I agree to some extent that the pledge will be altered and either watered down or extended for England's benefit, but basically the YES vote was for changes and the NO vote for the status quo and anything else that came with it was a juicy bonus.
