  1. You'd think he would have learned to run without falling over by now
  2. I appreciate what you're saying, but there is a danger that we can over-analyse things. In my opinion six games are too few to be significant (in the statistical sense). In games won by an odd goal you only need a couple of instances of hitting the woodwork instead of scoring or a penalty not given and you're looking at a swing of a few points.
  3. I'm old enough to remember when there were no such thing as substitutes, and when they were introduced it was only one and he could only replace an injured player. Three substitutes are plenty, all the team need to do is keep one in reserve until the last few minutes. If they decide to use all three then they run the risk of a further injury leaving them short.
  4. Ok then, ...any meaningful inferences... (I thought I was the senior pedant on here )
  5. Racist is as racist sees.
  6. That's not what I said, as you know very well.
  7. Different games. Same clubs but different teams and different circumstances. You can't draw any inferences from the results, but you can enjoy being a Saints fan at the moment.
  8. It wasn't a primary school. The only factor that matters is the way that the models were chosen. The only racist aspect of this is those people who associate a black person with a monkey. The truly innocent see nothing wrong with it. As I said, don't go looking for racism where it doesn't exist.
  9. Three subs out of seven is enough, surely?
  10. Well said Pap. I sincerely hope that this delightful run of victories will build confidence and understanding in the team before we meet the bigger boys. At the moment they're under our feet and let's trample them down a bit further.
  11. Very pleasant reading. Thanks.
  12. Cut him some slack, it might be Apple auto-correct. That's what I always blame.
  13. That's not racism. Don't go looking for it where it doesn't exist.
  14. Was that you??? You promised to write but you never did
  15. I haven't bought a suit for years. The last one was for my daughter's wedding. She never wore it, went for some white dress instead. (Boom boom) Back in the 60s and 70s everybody wore suits everywhere and the were all made to measure at places like Burtons or John Collier for £12 to £14. Based on that the off the peg prices today are very reasonable and getting them professionally altered seems a good idea.

Whenever we win I have a modest celebratory beer so yes, I do struggle to stay awake but it's worth it
  17. Without Ings and Vokes for any length of time they are really going to struggle.
  18. Mané played against a GB team which included Ryan Bertand and Caulker at the 2012 Olympics, Cork was on the bench: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/olympics/19003116 I can't say I remember him.
  19. Too late for me, I came in from cutting the grass and turned on to see the exciting climax. Who won?
  20. I did everything right yesterday so we all have me to thank for our crushing victory. I was wearing my lucky Saints key ring on my belt in its usual place. I've had it for nearly twenty years and we can all see the results but if the players ever come running out and see that I'm not wearing it then were in for a hiding.
  21. No problems, great debating with you. We used to have similar debates about Papa Waigo, he doesn't have to play so as to be technically onside, he just has to time his runs so that the flag doesn't go up no matter what any of us might think. I'm sure the club will be taking him through special training. He's fast enough anyway that he can afford to hang back a yard.
  22. To me, we have always been something special
