  7. Maybe you are right. But if you **** them off intentionally I'd assume they are more likely to print something that under other circumstances they would not. For the record I hate The Sun, my girlfriend is from Liverpool and their behaviour during Hillsborough was disgraceful, but they unfortunately hold some weight in this country.
  8. Ok so The Sun hear that a middle of the road Premiership club is slightly interested in Lallana. They then publish article that Fulham are after South Coast Club England under 21 player who scored 20 goals from midfield last year, in an an attempt to unsettle the player. The echo then picks this up and publishes. Player unnecessarily unsettled... The key is ... YOU TRY TO KEEP THE PRESS ON YOUR SIDE! they have power whether we like it or not.
  9. Why do you open a bracket but not close it? Trivial I know but everything annoys me these days.
  10. I'm pretty sure they won't hold meetings there.
  11. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/3121098/Swindon-Advertiser-beat-South-Coast-Clubs-picture-ban-by-using-Subbuteo.html Quite funny actually
  12. From the Sun website: ANGRY South Coast Club fans turned on chairman Nicola Cortese last night in protest at Alan Pardew's shock sacking. And their mood was not helped as the holders crashed out of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy with a 3-0 defeat at home to Swindon. Pardew's departure on Monday after just 12 months in charge left supporters fuming. Thousands voted with their feet by staying away from the club's first defence of the cup they won under Pards at Wembley five months ago. The first-round clash attracted the lowest-ever gate at St Mary's - 8,333. The crowd made their feelings known to Cortese by chanting 'There's only one Alan Pardew' as Swindon piled on the agony. Vincent Pericard scored twice either side of a goal by Charlie Austin - and South Coast Club had a player sent off. The hosts were booed off at the end and Cortese left the directors' box shaking his head.
  13. Better opposition? We're in league 1 and were playing a prem side? Now I know Rochdale have there stars, but I's suggest last night was the 'better opposition'

  20. It's fair to sat that over the years the Saints youth system has produced some excellent talent Le Tissier, Shearer, Walcott etc. However, there have been many times when I have been excited by some players who have then failed to make the grade at the top level. So to the nearly men.... I'll start with Frankie Bennett. Thought he was going to be awesome. Finished his career at Brislington. Also Tim Sparv, although having a career in Holland thought he was going to be sensational
  21. Is there anything that gives you joy or any hope of happiness? Pessimistic to a fault.
  22. But surely as fans we're remember the great day out. Don't we deserve it...
  23. Basically we were outplayed today. If we had scored in the first half I think it may have been a different story. A few of our players had off days - Puncheon in particular (undoubted ability but don't think he has the graft in his game when the chips are down). I thought Swindon were impressive, good passing and moving at times and looked solid at the back. It wasn't that we played particularly bad or the players didn't work hard, it was just that we came up against a good side, who tactically got it spot on IMHO. I know we have spent loads and they have got the funds for their players from selling a donkey or whatever, but that football and its hard to take but that the way it is. I went to the Swindon game away and honestly thought after that we were in with a big danger of getting relegated this year. Although I'm annoyed and frustrated after tonight, I am not feeling suicidal after I did at the away game!
  24. Really? I thought they were one of the best teams I've seen down here this season
  25. Maybe because its their opinion you Nazi
