  1. Very likely, yes.
  2. Happy to oblige Source: Warm May and spring for the UK - Met Office It really is very simple, except to those who refuse to see.
  3. Reducing crime with the power of classical music. Might work.
  4. Mordaunt may be well spoken, but she can't complete a single sentence without shoe-horning in some scaremongering bollocks about what Labour *might* do if they win. That's a whole lot more grating than listening to someone with a northern, working class accent.
  5. 99% sure that is the same person. Same nose, lips and cheeks, and look at the ridge on her forehead where it meets her eyebrow.
  6. The one in Clacton does cheap milkshakes, apparently.
  7. All you lot discussing the relative rights and wrongs of Farage appearing on QT yet again are seemingly blissfully unaware that you are feeding into the very reason why he has been on it so many times. That reason being that he is a highly controversial, divisive personality whose very appearance is intended to provoke public debate (like this one) and boost viewing figures. It's why I don't bother watching anymore. It's just pointless pantomime designed to generate headlines.
  8. So you chose not to testify, Donald, and now you're claiming your civil rights have been violated. OK hun x In all seriousness, I know he doesn't actually believe this and it's just theatre, designed to incense his brain dead supporters, but the man is just utterly unhinged. Everything he says and does demonstrates just how unfit he is for the presidency.
  9. Fair to say the Tories are running a Mickey Mouse campaign so far...
  10. On that logic, we would also need to offload KWP, Bednarek and AA then. Did ABK kick up a fuss to leave? Or was it more a case of us needing to get his wages off the books after relegation? I honestly don't know but I'm not going to write him off. He clearly has quality and it should be remembered he is still very young and nowhere near the finished article for a CB. The only serious question mark for me is over his recurring shoulder injury and whether that is likely to hamper him for his whole career.
  11. He actually does though. He claimed the government can control the weather and deliberately made it hot and sunny during Covid lockdown FFS. So where is the irony?
  12. Had this sent to me yesterday...
  13. Your continued defence of Baz is admirable, but you're in the minority with it. I have never seen Baz make the kind of save that Alex made late on from James yesterday. Ever. It's pretty much nailed on that would have been a goal if Baz was playing, and the same few people on here would be making the same excuses for him - like he saw it late, or the finish was too good. Quite simply, we couldn't play the tactical game we played yesterday without a competent keeper. Not having confidence in the keeper would have put the whole defence on edge, and there's just no way in hell we would have kept a clean sheet. Edit: BTW - using your mod powers to change the thread title because you disagree with it is poor form.

I've posted this before, but I wonder if he's just better suited to the possession based game under Russ than he was to the low possession, high pressing style we played under RH. He often looked like a liability during that era because he frequently couldn't recover his position from being so high up the pitch, but I've not seen that kind of panicky, desperate backtracking from him this season.
  15. Or he might already have other targets he wants to bring in, and Downes will be even further down the pecking order. So it might work in our favour.
  16. Well it seems that Russ does have it in him to be flexible with his tactics after all. No idea why he waited until the playoffs to demonstrate that, but I'm obviously not complaining! He's still young and inexperienced as a manager, and this season will have been a massive learning curve for him. Looks like he has finally taken those lessons on board. I was dubious about him being the right man for us inbthe PL if he got us up, but if he can continue to show the same kind of tactical nous he has shown in the last three games, and with some decent acquisitions in the summer window, then I'm feeling much more confident than I was a month or so ago. Well done Russ. You've earned a place in Saints folklore now as the man that got us back up at the first attempt.

Remember we'll have ABK returning from loan as well.
  18. Yep, and the best thing is I never really felt like Leeds would score. Given how many games I've watched this season where we looked like conceding every time the oppo attacked, that's very impressive. Good to know we have that in us.
  19. Sky can show scenes of Leeds players and fans crying all evening as far as I'm concerned!
  20. Unsighted and low to his left? Yep, guaranteed.
  21. This is going to feel like an entire lifetime!
