  1. Bournemouth 2-0 up now.
  2. Switching to a back 4 with Stephens moving to RB?
  3. No idea, but I've hardly heard him mentioned by the taters so far. Not been in the game at all.
  4. Why is that good news? In what possible way does the result of that game affect us?
  5. Disagree. West Ham was far worse.
  6. Targett still a very weak link on the left. Poor defensively and doesn't offer enough in attack unless he gets all the time and space he needs to put in a cross. Ings not had any decent service yet, with JWP and Redmond being very well shut out of the game by the Palace defence, preventing us from getting any any forward momentum going. Valery has done mostly OK against one of the best wingers in the PL. Showing more composure at least. We need to make some kind of formation change cos we ain't going to get anything if we persevere with the same system in the 2nd half. Palace have been marginally better overall and deserve their lead.
  7. You said it after 5 minutes FFS. We had a decent spell and created the best chance of the game after that. Palace are no mugs, and we haven't been at our best tonight for whatever reason. But to start saying they are miles better after 5 f*cking minutes is just your usual negative bullsh*t.
  8. McCarthy beaten at his near post... again. Seems like Kelvin's coaching is rubbing off on him.
  9. What... is a 44-page thread on that not enough for you?
  10. JWP really not had much impact so far. Maybe a case of Palace seeing that goal he scored against Everton and closing him down to stop him doing it again.
  11. Stephens a little lucky there. Another ref would have booked him for that - or worse.
  12. Yet we've just had the best chance.
  13. Valery is doing OK. It's Targett on the other side that worries me. A few times now he's failed to anticipate the flight/weight of the ball, and overall he's not having a great game.
  14. And then he goes and gives that to Palace for what clearly wasn't even a foul. He's a terrible ref and always has been.
  15. Never did like Andre Marriner. That's two blatant fouls he hasn't given in our favour so far.

  18. The difference being that all of the players we have let go thus window have been surplus to requirements, rather than star players we badly wanted to keep.
  19. Yes, we often struggle to beat teams who come to play for a draw. But draws are no good to Fulham and Cardiff right now. They both need wins and will be looking at games against teams like us near them in the table to get them. If either of those teams comes out and attacks us, IMO we will beat them easily with the fast counter attacking that Ralph has got us playing.
  20. Really could have done without Newcastle winning, but at least Cardiff lost which means we can put some real distance between us and the relegation places with a win tomorrow - 6 points and a GD over Cardiff of at least +13, which is worth another point ultimately. Would put us in 14th, a point behind Brighton. Would also finally take us to more than a point a game for the first time this season. I'm confident. Palace have had a few good results recently but if they were so amazing they wouldn't be level on points with the team just above the relegation places. We will be much fresher having not played in the FA cup at the weekend, and since Ralph took over we always seem to do well when we have more time to prepare. Bring it on.
  21. Hesketh was injured when he returned from his loan at Burton and is still recovering. Sims wasn't eligible to play in the Derby replay due to not being registered as part of the squad for the initial game, but I might have expected him to at least make the bench for Everton.
  22. For the cannula where they administer the anesthetic.
  23. More to the point, why on earth would they be 'open' to letting him go for about what they paid for him? Sounds like more agent talk to me.
  24. He may well also have had his head turned by the interest from Borussia Dortmund, so it's entirely possible he might just be phoning it in on the penultimate day of the transfer window. Yes, I am clutching at straws here.
  25. Mané was the last player we had in that mould.
