Since record keeping began in 1880.

Look I'm not even going to try and defend Corbyn's performance in that interview because, from what little of it I saw, he got completely rinsed by Neil. But.... Did it not occur to you for a second that this is so obviously fake? The messages are all on the right of the screen, which is where your own sent messages show, meaning whoever 'leaked' this must have also written it.

OK, hold my hands up time - I didn't realise those were actual Stormzy lyrics (I'm a middle-aged white bloke - why would I? ) so I agree in that context it doesn't seem quite as awful as if he had just decided to pretend to be Jamaican in order to make a point. It's still a very stupid look for someone like Gove though. I agree with your last point though, as that's the way politics is these days (and probably always has been to a degree). Just look at Trump as an example - he can go on stage at an election rally and disgracefully mock a disabled person who had justifiably criticised him, yet his supporters simply don't care and still voted for him in their millions anyway.

Entitled white politician, who just loves to tell people how the leader of the opposition is a racist, engages in lazy racist stereotypes against a black rapper because he disagrees with his political stance. Like I said - astonishing error of judgement.
-
Must be. It's the only explanation I can think of for someone in his position exercising such an astonishing error of judgement.

I think it goes a bit further than that... https://twitter.com/michaelgove/status/1199304826468876288

I think it was pretty obvious that his first sentence was not actually aimed at me. -

I expect his first port of call would be Staplewood. -

I don't really know anything about Matt Crocker so can't judge his suitability. But surely it can only be a good thing that we have someone in place at board level who actually understands the technical side of the game. When was he at Saints previously and what was his record like? Apparently he's been at the FA since 2013, so I'm assuming he was here during the good years when we actually produced some decent players from the academy, yes? -
Is it any wonder the BBC get accused of bias when they do things like this? https://twitter.com/paulmasonnews/status/1198336234202030081 This on top of 'accidentally' using footage from the 2016 Remembrance service recently, instead of showing Johnson looking hungover and laying his wreath upside down. Their credibility is shot.

So we're going with a CB pairing of Stephens and Bednarek, with JWP and PEH as their 'protection' in midfield. Arsenal may not be any great shakes at the moment, but they will cut through that like a knife through butter. And our two most dangerous attackers get dropped to the bench. Again. Is Ralph deliberately trying to get the sack?
-
Aside from the quite important fact that they haven't blatantly copied the name and logo from another independent fact checking service in order to fool people into thinking they are one and the same.

You mean apart from the bit where it says @UKLabour and insider.labour.org.uk in the profile?

Is this confirmed now? -
I once met Mattio in a field near Winchester. He invited me back to his tent. True story.

I see the Tories' digital propaganda team, not content with dismissing the whole fact check UK thing by claiming nobody cares, have seen fit today to spend an absolute fortune (I assume) on ensuring their mini-site savaging the Labour manifesto comes up as the top search result when you type 'Labour' into Google.
-
Would that be the Peterborough by-election after which the Electoral Commission investigated and found no evidence of any fraud? I'd love to know what evidence you have if the EC couldn't find any.

LOL. Look, Corbyn is dull, insipid and lacks charisma, and doesn't inspire confidence that he would make a great PM. But at least he was occasionally capable of answering the question put to him and speaking coherently about Labour's policies. Johnson, on the other hand, had nothing - literally nothing - other than "get Brexit done" and "don't vote for him". It was cringey beyond belief. Looking around on Twitter afterwards, I saw the people who you would expect to be claiming Corbyn 'won' doing just that, and the people you would expect to see claiming a victory for Johnson (with one or two exceptions) saying essentially "meh, let's call it a draw". It's like they all know that BoJo was about as awful as you could possibly be but they could obviously never bring themselves to admit that Corbyn came out of it better. Oh and ITV's Twitter poll had over 30,000 responses and the result was 78% in Corbyn's favour.
-
I agree it was very dull and predictable (did BoJo have a bet on with someone about the amount of times he could squeeze "get Brexit done" into his answers FFS?), and it didn't really tell us anything we didn't already know. But... When you have to get your party's press office to change its Twitter handle and logo to impersonate an independent fact checking site in order to support your lies, I think that's a pretty clear sign you've lost.

https://twitter.com/Channel4News/status/1196837709094039558?s=20 The idea that Brexit is a negotiation between the EU and the UK is "the largest unicorn ever invented in history", according to the former director of the WTO. Who'd have thought it, eh?

Cool, I'll take your word for it. Next time I come down to visit friends I'll have a look what's on. Saw Fat White Family a while back and they were great. As were their other incarnation the Moonlandingz.

Anyone seen the Arron Banks leaks on Twitter? There's some dynamite stuff come out of it so far. https://twitter.com/JoeZBlair/status/1196790921700036608 Worried much Andy?

Well it certainly was when I left in 2004. I liked the little places like the Joiners and the Brook, although the Guildhall was the only venue big enough to attract the larger acts, but it's a crap venue with terrible sound. If you say it has improved in that time then fair enough. I've heard the Engine Rooms is supposed to be alright. But as a city it's still nowhere near the top of the list when bands are deciding where to tour. Where I am now, not only do we get loads of good gigs in Sheffield but I'm in easy reach of Manchester, Nottingham and Leeds as well, so if there's a band you really want to see doing a UK tour, it's almost guaranteed they will be playing in at least one of those cities. But in Southampton you generally have to go to London or maybe Brighton.
